DMC24guy for Moderator 2008

    Hello, and welcome to the home site for one of the most ambitious campaigns and probably only Campaign for Moderator in Neoseeker history. I am DMC24guy, and I am running for Moderator. The reason? I believe that in the past 3 years Neoseeker has taken a turn for the worse, in terms of it's content, new members, and to an extent, it's Administration levels. You see, there was a time on Neoseeker referred to by many as "The Golden Years". This period of time, which is generally considered to have taken place between the years 2001-2002, is looked at now as the most prosperous, fun, intelligent, and simply the most entertaining period in the History of Neoseeker. It was during this time period when I joined Neoseeker. I Remember how it was!

    This era of good feelings is thought however to have ended in 2003 with an incredible influx of new members or those referred to now as "n00bs". These new members were unlike any other group of New Members in Neoseeker's short history. They were rude, crude, and simply put, cry babies. Instead of assimilating like good members should, they broke the long standing traditions of Neoseeker, and generally lowered the quality of posting throughout the forums. What did the Admin and Moderators do about this problem? Little to be exact. And that is why we are now in the situation we are in today. Nothing can get done without a little pip-squeak "n00b" ruining everything. Good, decent conversations can no longer take place without having at least one fool interrupt with some spam message.  People are constantly complaining about these people now, but nothing seems to being done about this problem. That is Where I come in.

I believe using my special techniques and secretive methods, I could take HUGE steps into returning Neoseeker to it's once glorious days. I believe as Moderator I could change things for the better. However, this isn't going to happen unless there is a large swell of support behind my effort from the people. That leads me to the final part of this long speech...

I have always believed that it isn't the Administrators or even the Moderators that make Neoseeker great, but rather it's the Regular members like you and me. Without us, Neoseeker would be nothing. I have always felt that the power and greatness of Neoseeker lies within you, the individual members. However, over time that power has slowly been eroded to the point where now it seems as if only those Upper Echelon members can get anything done. I will do everything I can to restore Neoseeker to the days when it was rule by the Masses, not just the few chosen ones. This all might seem a bit ambitious, but I know in my heart it CAN and WILL be done. So, please, support me in my quest for Moderatorship, because if I get in power, YOU get in Power.

On November 25, 2007, Chirovette made the following statement on DMC's run for Moderator:
