A Lesson in Scum

Nobody is listening in Charlottesville, VA. Where are all the intelligent, artistically-inclined, open-minded people in this town, or are there any to even begin with? I DJ'd at Orbit Billiards last night - can't believe that a fucking frat boy came up to me and requested 'Free Bird',  whilst Boards of Canada passes without a notice. This fucking chimp has 'Free Bird' in his home stereo I'll bet. Probably has it in his car stereo as well. He should listen to it on one of those, not through MY fucking stereo system when I'm DJing. Why do people want to hear the same old shit they've heard a million times before, what the fuck is the point? They can stay home and do that, and save themselves a bit of money in the process. They don't understand what it's like to properly go out and hear interesting music. If they did, then they would run the risk of challenging themsleves to accept something new into their lives - to possibly discover something fresh and original...but this presents a clear and present danger to the system they've set up for themselves whereby they strive to fall into every ignorant cliche expected of them by their equally ignorant peers. Their parents were this way, and their parents before them, and their parents beofre them. The circle of ignorance continues. Mindless fucks. They should all be strapped to chairs and be forced to listen to 180 BPM glitch music for days on end whilst being force-fed psilocybin mushrooms, in order to help them on their much needed journey to a new reality - a reality where 'Free Bird' is banished to the dark depths of late night AM radio.
