Though the death toll is traditionally thought to have been relatively low, recent research suggests it may have been higher, since the deaths of poor and middle-class people were not recorded at the time. The number of dead has not yet been determined, but at least a dozen people are being treated for burns and injuries sustained during the airstrike. Officials are now investigating the incident.
