Malas

Malas are sets of 108 beads used by Buddhists to count their mantra recitations.

They can be made of all sorts of materials, though most commonly they are made of wood.

We use 60lb breaking strain fishing nylon to make our Malas and they are triple strung for extra safety. These Malas aren't going to break!

Here are a couple of examples; sorry about the blurryness, I'm trying to learn how to use my friend's new digicam!

Most of our Malas have a single wood type for most of the beads, with a different wood for the Lama bead and the 21st beads in each direction.
