These are simply the ones I have seen and know I would like. I will consider most types of plants for zone 5a (cold harsh winters) - but I may know someone who would like something different in a trade, so just make an offer.
For my special swap partners, I know it's tough to figure out something new, so here are some trading ideas: Of course any plant/seed/bulb from my want list.
I'm originally from a little town in Alabama, just outside Birmingham. I am now in zone 5a, in the mountains of Northern Nevada. I work full time at a gold mine. I'm not very good with houseplants (trying), but love all the flowers & plants I have outside, still looking for more fragrant hardy peonies. We spend a great deal of time entertaining on the deck out back in summer, so I'm very interested in any nocturnal and fragrant flowering plants, have mostly sunny areas.
Love to read (almost anything), crazy about Paranormal Romances, Nora Roberts - JD Robb, C.J.J. Cheryth, Ann Rule, LOVE Christina Dodd & Lora Leigh, John Grisham, sci-fi, heck even Regency romances & westerns.
My music likes are pretty eclectic too- Favorite artists are: Carlos Santana, Keith Urban, Faith Hill, Matchbox20, Alabama, Nickleback, Rascal Flats, Bob Seger, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, 3 Doors Down, Steve Miller Band, and 70s stuff.... the list goes on. I don't like all of any of them, but most by these are good.
Magazines I subscribe to: Taste of Home, Birds & Blooms & Reader's Digest. Like home fix-it-up magazines, gardening idea books, copper accents for outside (deck has copper posts & lamps); for the garden - gnomes and frogs are wonderful, and lizards too. I do like windchimes too. :) Can't always get DH to hang them for me though.
Like bath salts & fizzies, candles (esp soy), tea light candles, really like the liquid potpourri - Prefer clean type scents such as linen, rain, cucumber-melon-pear, any citrus, lavendar, peach .... Don't care for pine or florals; don't use much of the dried potpourri as it simply collects dust.
Collect daffodil, lizard or frog pins & brooches - in sterling, gold, funky, funny, weird, "fashion stuff", junk - like them all. I wear all kinds of pins on my blazers & jackets all the time too. / Gloves in med-average. / Collect small glass frogs or turtles / Also small old glass items such as fenton glass, carnival glass, depression glass. / Collect Anchor Hocking Firestone dishes in Peach Lustre swirl pattern. / Enjoy reading, music, gambling, and of course gardening! Did I mention chocolate is always appropriate? ;p Favorite color is purple. Crazy about anything in amethyst.
Hope all that helps. :)
