“We ought to be a light in the midst of darkness. My heart breaks when I see people bound by sin and every wicked force of the devil and no one is there to help. I have a mandate from God to find every possible way, however simple, however costly, to reach the world, to reach one soul. I will do whatever it takes, even if it seems foolish to bring the lost to Christ." -- Pastor. Spurgeon

Overview: India's economy is made up of village farming, modern agriculture, handcrafts and a wide range of modern industries and a multitude of support services. More than one third of the population is too poor to be able to afford an adequate diet.
India is home to millions of people and many of them live in conditions of extreme poverty. Key development indicators, such as those related to public health or literacy, are among the lowest in the world. And as it is in much of the world, it is the children who suffer most from poverty. Thousands live on the streets. Life can be even more difficult for girls because they are viewed as lesser citizens and education is usually not an option.
