Hi guys! I know its been a while since I've posted but school takes up most of my time. All I seem to be doing lately is reading and not for leisure time either. I'm actually doing work! It's a very rare thing for me. But it has to be done.

In recent news, I've decided to stick with my dreams of going to med school instead of chickening out and taking the easy route (even though there is technically no easy route in life). I originally was planning on changing majors all together meaning I would have given up my dreams of med school and settled for far less than I'm capable of. Although I am still sticking with my current major (which was the original 'chicken out' path) I have also decided to add a few sciences to it (in addition to the one's I have already taken). The great thing about UCONN is that it allows you to create majors that will benefit your future. So not only do I get to stick with the major I currently love but I also get to follow my dreams of going to med school. Part of this recent 'epiphany' is because of my genius idea to research medical schools around the US. (AN: Not that I haven't in the past, I've just never gone as in depth as I did a couple days ago.) My dream is to go to the John Hopkins School of Medicine since it's the best medical school in the country, so that was the first one I looked up - UCONN being the 2nd. Both J.Hopkins and UCONN require a bachelor's degree (which I'll have when I graduate) along with a year in each of the following: Biology, Mathematics (and/or statistics), English, Chemistry, Physics, & Organic Chemistry. I've got a year of biology, calculus, and english down and with the help of a couple summer classes (and maybe one winter class) I'll be able to graduate with a bachelor's degree in HDFS and still manage to have a year of the required classes for medical school under my belt. Whew - now that that ramble is finished...

As most of you know, I went to the Carrie Underwood/Keith Urban Love, Pain, & The Whole Crazy Carnival Ride Tour 2008 on the 1st of this month. I'm a Carrie fan, don't get me wrong, but Keith Urban put her to shame. Carrie was more vocal by far, but Keith gave you what a concert should be...a great performance from start to finish. But they were both great; especially considering it is Carrie's first tour without being an opening act (even though she technically was - but you know what I mean). They were both great but it should be said that next time Keith Urban comes to town...I'm already there babyyy! Here are just a few pictures from the tour. Enjoy them!
