Diamond Dust

empowering you to shine

Diamond Dust is a bimonthly website that strives to empower teens and adults in their Christian walk. We are based on the quote:

“Adversity is the diamond dust with which heaven polishes its jewels.” -Leighton

Diamond Dust. It sounds so...elegant. But contrary to what we might imagine, it is not the sparkling dust of diamonds. Rather, it is rough powder used to cut and polish gemstones. It is the only tool strong enough to do the job. Similarly, we believe that God uses troubles in our lives to cut away and smooth our rough parts. After this type of “diamond dust” is used we become stronger Christians and grow in our relationship with the Lord. Only then can we truly shine like diamonds.

Peace and Joy
by Mary Sikorsky

Peace, where are you?
I long to see your face
    to hold you near
and feel your warm embrace
               Joy, where are you?
Why have you escaped?
I don’t know where to find you
   Is this my final fate?
Jesus promised peace and joy
but it never seems to stay
I know it’s out there somewhere
waiting for me to pray
It’s waiting for me to give up sin
and look into my soul
with sorrow and firm desire
to make amends I’m told
To put my faith into action
For without good works it’s dead
I must serve my fellow man
and ask for my daily bread
In peace I have found a treasure
without which there is no joy
The joy that lasts forever
for every blessed girl and boy
