My name is Clare, I live in the UK with my husband and our guinea pigs. I'm 24 and am in recovery from an Eating Disorder. I am a Type 1 Diabetic and during the worst of my eating disorder I began manipulating my insulin in order to loose weight faster. There is no official DSM-IV name for this but it is has become known recently as Diabulimia.
It is a little understood disorder and those of us who have struggled/are struggling with it often feel that we are on our own with it and that no one can help us. This website is here to encourage people with Diabulimia to seek help, to let them know that they are not alone in their struggles and to help raise awareness in the general population about Diabulimia.
