Avast! Ships ahoy!

Here be some pictures of Ships...

This is a Ship of the Line, the most powerful type of warship. This one is called the "USS Ohio" and had 104 guns...

This one is two Ships of the Line fighting, one English and one French...

This one is a Triple-Decker Man-O-War. Ships of the Line were commonly Men-O-War

Another Ship of the Line...

This one, one of my personal favourites. The USS Constitution, a very powerful warship...

This are some "Jamestown Ships" Not too sure, but I think they are Fluyts, very large, unwieldy merchant ships...

Another Ship of the Line, USS Victory...

The following is entightled "Flying Cloud", so I have no idea. I think that they are two Frigates...

The next is one of my favourite ships. The USS Pennsylvania, a triple decker Ship of the Line.It had 132 guns, but unfortunately was never made operational...

A Frigate on rough seas...

A Barque, a merchant vessel...

The next is an English Ironside...

And another Ironside...

This is two odd looking ships rescuing 32 whaling ships that were lost in the ice off Point Barrow...

The next is an Hawaiian War Canoe, no Carribean ones unfortunately...

The next is a Pinnace, a merchant ship, very fast and manoeverable...

This one is a very odd ship courtesy of China. It was a "Turtle Ship" and was invalueable in fending off the Japanease invasion...

More to come...
