Poker Tournament Rules: There are changes from the previous years. We are now playing with new tournament styles rules as followed: 1) To determine the dealer at the beginning of the tournament, players will randomly draw a card and the highest card drawn will be the dealer. If there is a tie, a re-draw shall occur between the tie-breakers. 2) Each player will begin with 1,000 points in poker chips. 3) “Little Blind” (immediate person to the left of the dealer) and “Big Blind” (immediate person to the left of the “Little Blind”), start with bets of 10 points and 20 points respectively. 4) At the beginning of each hand, the dealer will deal each player two cards face-down (pocket cards). 5) There is no limit in the value at which bets can be raised. Minimum amount of the bet will be the amount of the “Big Blind.” 6) A round of betting will then begin at the first player who is to the immediate left of the “Big Blind” before the “Flop” is dealt. 7) The “Flop”: Once betting has been concluded, the dealer will discard (burn) a single card and then deal three community cards. 8) A second round of betting will then occur after the “Flop” has been dealt. 9) The “Turn/4th Street”: Once the betting has been concluded after the “Turn/4th Street”, the dealer will discard (burn) another card and then deal one community card. 10) A third round of betting will then occur after the “turn/4th Street” has been dealt. 11) The “River/5th Street”: Once the betting has been concluded after the “Turn/4th Street”. The dealer will discard (burn) another card and then deal the final community card. 12) A final round of betting will then occur after the “River/5th Street” has been dealt. 13) Showdown: The player with the best five card hand wins. Players with best hand must show hand. Any players who did not win that round are allowed to not show or “muck” their hand. 14) Blinds will be raised every 20 minutes. The blinds will double every time they are raised. 15) For every 5 raises, players will get a 5 minutes break. 16) Once a table is down to 4 players, the table will be eliminated and those players will be distributed evenly among the remaining tables. 17) The last 10 players will advanced to the final table.
