DEXTER'S LITTLE HOBBY

Dexember 15th, 2006

I am starting to feel a little like Jacki's pimp!  That girl gets all the best stuff though.  She just scored an interview with Julie Benz and David Zayas!  She is also giving out Autographed copies of the first novel next week for her weekly Dexter Contest.  I am putting links on the left to all of the cool interviews over at media villiage and her contests.
Just a couple more days to go until the season finale of Dexter!  Are you excited?  I am going to be glued to Showtime that night (I am watching Sleeper Cell too).   Check out the forum and leave some thoughts on what twist they will throw at us on Sunday Night!

The big news of this week is that our friend Jacki at media villiage is going to be interviewing Jeff Lindsay on Tuesday!  If anyone has any questions that they would like me to pass on to her feel free to email me.  I have passed over a few questions of my own and I am really excited for her.  Also, don't forget to enter her weekly trivia contest for your chance to win a copy of the first book.  She is really doing a great job and her reviews are a riot!
After the holidays we will be hitting the awards show season.   I know some of you cats from over at IMDB realize that industry people read the boards there and one or two may be floating over here, who knows?  Lets get the buzz train working for Michael and the cast!  I think that Dexter deserves some Golden Globe and Emmy consideration!  Once again, Email me if you want to help to the ball rolling.  Join the Myspace pages, post in the forum and check out the online team, every little bit helps.
Finally, our friends Readmychest have created some cool shirts and stuff over in the fanshop,  they will be adding new stuff and taking suggestions.  Feel free to email me on that too and I will pass along any requests or ideas.  Everyone try to sleep well tonight.  The Ice Truck killer is still out there!

CONFIRMED!!

I just talked to a person at showtime who has confirmed that DEXTER has been renewed for a second season!

October 22nd, 2006

Sorry it has been so quiet around here.  I am just suffering from a lack of information.  I have no clue about tonight's episode other than the title.  I am seriously hoping that "Let's Give the Boy a Hand"  means that someone will get dismembered to the "Footloose" soundtrack.  There have been many times that I have had random thoughts of doing nasty things to people who played songs off that album.  In the meantime, there is a nifty Dexter online game up if you click on the picture below.  Don't forget to stop by the forum and leave some opinions on the game, tonights show, obsessive donut eating or whatever.

I hope everyone enjoyed last night's episode!  I bet you won't be looking at Hockey the same way again.  Distupted, daring Dexter looks to be even more disturbed nest week in "Let's Give the Boy a Hand."    I wonder if the producer's have enough of a sense of humor to actually play the theme from "Footloose?"   That would give it a whole new meaning for the next generation!

If any of you haven't discovered the wonderful Dexter reviews at http://www.mediavillage.com/   you should DEFINITELY head over there.  Jacki is doing an outstanding job reviewing each episode and is a huge fan of the show since the first episode.  Here are the links to her reviews of each epsiode so far.

I have updated the forums some and it should encompass a variety of topics now.  I am adding links to the two active Myspace discussion groups Darkly Dreaming Dexter and The Dark Passenger.  A lot of people on various boards have been wondering where they can find the books.  They have released a new trade paperback of Darkly Dreaming Dexter with Michael C. Hall's picture that is available just about everywhere.  Dearly Devoted Dexter takes a bit more looking but, it is available on Amazon.   I am putting links up on the main page.  If any fans outside the U.S. are in dire need and can't find someone to ship them to them, email me at dexteratnight@yahoo.com and I will do my best to find reasonable copies for you.
