6/10/2007 - CALLING IT QUITS

It’s been almost 4 years now, 4 different line ups, 6 quiet releases, numerous failed attempts at recording (haha), and a handful of shows here and there, including a win competing in the BJCC Battle of the Bands at Hamilton St (RIP). There have been good times, bad times, great times, and shitty times and if you didn’t know by now, giving up was not an option we were willing to try.

In the recent months, it’s been frustrating keeping the band together, whether it was interferences with school, sports, different schedules or whatever, it’s understandable; those things happen, yet they caused a lack of progress. The past 7 months (with Nick and Kenny) have been great, the best line up we’ve had, I think. Anyway, the demise of the band seemed inevitable at this point, especially with recent creative differences, certain circumstances, in addition to the future direction of the band. Derek and I decided it was time for a much-needed change, for the better of all of us. Maybe we didn’t accomplish everything we originally intended to, but it sure as hell was fun, and a great experience.

On behalf of everyone (past and present members), I’d just like to say thanks to all of our fans over the years (thanks for sticking with us), all the bands we’ve played with, all the venues we’ve played at, as well as the haters; it was fun while it lasted. Thank you.

Stay peaceful, stay unified,

Jeff

  • 5/20/2007 - HAMILTON ST. RIP

Yeah, if you haven't already heard, Hamilton St. Cafe is closed forever. The recent floods have damaged the venue and it is just un-fixable. This is a huge loss and there will be a big gap in the scene as well as for bands all over New Jersey. Light a candle tonight in remembrance. I am.
