We adopted Cain when he was 8mths old from an animal shelter. He had been found in the woods far from any homes. So a friend of ours called to tell us about him. When we went to see him, it was love at first sight. He was very malnourished and underweight. He was pitiful. So of course when we brought him home, we learned he could eat like a horse and drool worse than a teething baby! He has now become the best dog of the bunch. Considering his size the kids were very timid of him. Of course I have a 18mth old who thimks Cain is his dog. Cain is probably 4 times his size, but he is so careful of my son. It truly amazes me. I thought since he had been through such a rough time, he would have temperment problems, but to be honest I think it has made things better. He is more loyal and loving because of it. I would love to see become a father to some beautiful puppies. I know that you couldn't ask for a better dog by an standard(coloring,temperment and brains). He is just wonderful.
