Devon Sharks are a new team for a new league. We are currently competing in the South West division of the Rugby League conference along with fellow newcomers East Devon Eagles and the Exeter Centurions and the more experienced Plymouth Titans and Somerset Vikings. The season starts in May and culminates in the Grand Final in August.
Rugby League is best known for being played along the 'M62 corridor' and therefore alot of people in the South West have had no experience of playing or watching Rugby League. Therefore are squad is mainlymade up Rugby Union players who are willing to try their hand at the thirteen man code mixed in with a few players who have previous experience of playing League.
