Hi welcome to my site! I'm going to have all kinds of stuff on here so take a look around and i hope you like what you see.
Hmm... Last post.... Five months?!?!?! Yeah... sorry about that. So obviously a lot has happened since my last post. Lets catch you up to date. This post will have more departments than the Ministry of Magic! (hehe Harry Potter joke...)
The Department of Narnia
I saw The Cronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and WOW is it amazing. Go see it. Now! The acting is great, the effects are AMAZING, and the costumes leave me lusting for my sewing machine and a trip to JoAnn Fabrics. If you've sen it (which you should have!), I'm going to be making Susan's battle dress. I'll post my progress as it happens.
I've also been reading the books. You should too. They're *very* good. I'm reading the last one right now. (The Last Battle)
The Department of Suck
The next movie, The Voyage of The Dawn Treader, doesn't come out until 2010! *cry*
The Department of Good Books
Along with The Cronicles of Narnia, I've been reading a lot of other good books. Some of these are MT Anderson's books (all the ones I've read have been fabulous.), Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, Becoming Cloe by Catherine Ryan Hyde, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books, Beige by Cecil Castalucci, and Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson (must read), among many many others.
The Department of Good Movies
I have never seen the Star Wars movies. Sin against humanity I know. I'm watching The Phantom Menace as we speak though and it's *very* good. Also, Stand By Me was a great movie but kind of bad. (It's rated R probably for language. They curse a lot in it.) LAstly, my favorite movie, The Princess Bride. It has something for everyone. Romance, action, priests with thick accents, Billy Crystal, and a guy out to avenge his father's death. (Just to name a few things. See it. It's amazing.)
The Department of Work
I've started working now. I work at an ice cream shop and it's a lot of fun. I get all the ice cream I want for free too. Unfortunatly, I'm lactose intolorant and can't eat any of it. How messed up is that?!?!
The Department of Music
I'm going to see Paramore and Jack's Mannequin in concert in August. OMG I'M EXCITED!!! Along with those two, you might want to check out the singer Charlotte Sometimes. Not sure if she's your style but I love her.
The Department of I GOT A CAMERA!!!!!
Self Explanitory. U've taken pictures of EVERYTHING lately. Expecially my dog. She's so photogenic.
Now that school's out I should have more time to update, so expect to see me around more often.

"
Thanks for the awesome comment Deirdre! I have read (and love) all of the books you suggested. I've only read Blue is for Nighmares, but am working on getting the others. I can never remember the order of them so thanks!
"Dusteen and Shelbie: were hooked on Stephenie Meyer's twilight series it is awesome. cant wait till the next 1 after Eclipse (We cant wait for Edwards POV hes our Fav)Hered its coming out as a movie?"
Yep. It was optioned a few times but I think it's finally found a home. According to Stephenie Myer's Twilight movie page, (http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/twilight_movie.html) Catherine Hardwicke will be directing it. Take a look at the link to find out more about it!
Be cool! Leave a comment! Bye for now!
I just joined a site called Book Divas. They have tons of amazing contests. I want to get all of the books they have featured there. They have authors visit there you can chat with, interviews, writing tips, and tons of free books. You can also promote your book there. They have forums to chat with other people who love the books you love too. You can check them out at www.bookdivas.com.
Eclipse is out now! You have to go read it right now. It is nine kinds of amazing. You will not be disapointed. (Unless of course you hate vampires, werewolves, suspense, a vampire in love with a human, evil vampires out to kill said human for revenge, and all around awsomeness is not your sort of thing in which case you are insane.)
I'm now working on writing a novel. I have just started and it will probably never be published, so I don't have to worry about this problem. But for any of you who have or are planning on getting published, are you going to use a pen name or not? If so, why? If not, why? What are the advantages of each?
I have exciting news. I will be visited on The Girl at Sea: FREE MONKEY at Sea World Tour! Those of you who have read Maureen Johnson's blog will understand what I'm talking about. Those of you who don't, here's a run down of who FREE MONKEY is. Maureen Johnson was sick while in England and had to go out to buy tea because she drank it all. While at the store, there was a box of PG Tips tea with a monkey stuffed animal in it. She bought that tea so she could get the monkey. His name is FREE MONKEY. For her new book, Girl at Sea, FREE MONKEY is being sent to a few people in a Flat Stanley-esque tour. For those of you who don't know what Flat Stanley is, it's a book that, when read in elementary school english classes, usually is proceeded by sending around a paper doll to family members who take pictures with it then send it back so you can do a presentation on it. I was picked as one of the people who will be getting FREE MONKEY on the Tour. Read about FREE MONKEY and other Maureen Johnson news on her blog at www.maureenjohnson.blogspot.com.
Here is FREE MONKEY in his box of tea.
Here is FREE MONKEY wearing his bow he got when he visited Hank Green of Brotherhood 2.0 when i met Maureen Johnson at a book signing.
Maureen Johnson's newest book , Girl At Sea, officially came out today. I just finished reading it, and it was AMAZING! (Not that this is any surprise. I loved all of her books.) If you haven't gotten it yet, you should. You can check out Girl At Sea and Maureen's other books at www.maureenjohnson.blogspot.com. She is coming to many bookstores on her tour for the book. Check out the news page to see where she will be.
I have come to the conclusion that my brother has absolutely NO luck with fish. So far he has gone through five fish. So this will be a tribute to all of the fish in the order that they died.
1) Max- my brother's first beta fish.
2) Lily- the second beta fish
3) Daisy- one of three goldfish gotten to replace Max and Lily.
4) Smilie- second of the three goldfish
5) Tugger- died after two days in the fish tank because of swimming behind the filter and getting stuck.
Only remaining survivor- Sparkle- the third fish bought to replace Max and Lily.
I hope i have better luck than him with fish when i go to get my beta fish on Friday.
*UPDATE*
Sparkle now has a new friend. Rex was bought when i got my beta fish the oher day.
The third book to A Great and Terrible Beauty in the seires by Libba Bray has been announced. The book will be called The Sweet Far Thing. Here is a picture of the cover courtesy of amazon.com. The Sweet Far Thing is scheduled to come out September 25, 2007.
Today, my brother's beta fish Max died. Max was 4 months and 6 days old. He was very upset about his fish but was sort of cheered up by decorating a box i had that my necklace came in to make a casket for Max. He is now trying to dig a hole in the backyard to bury him in but will probably have to wait until some of the ice melts from the sleet we got last night. Here is a picture of max in his fish bowl taken exactly one month ago today when we had to take pictures for our cousin for his Flat Stanley project. (Flat Stanley has been cropped out of the picture.)
**UPDATE**
Unfortunatly, when i came home from my cousin's birthday party, I found out that his other fish had died as well. Her name was Lily. We have still not gotten a replacement fish but will probably stick to goldfish instead of Beta fish. Beta fish involve too much care that we didn't know about such as the temperature of the water and how often the water should be changed. Goldfish are so much easier.
