Animation collectables

This is the place...So you want to show off your collectables of your favorite animated movie or T.V. show, so do I. I thought this would be a great place to for those who would want to show off their collection of "cool stuff" from your favorite animated movie or show. I`ll start with mine from the Secret of NIMH and If you have a collection of cels , skethces, plushies and other things of your favorite animation characters tell me about it and/or send a few pics of It and I`ll see if I can put it on this web page.

Above is my DVD movie "The Secret of NIMH " and the book "Mrs Frisby and the Rats of NIMH"

Blah..blah. .blah... and so on...

This was my first animation cel , It`s of cynthia and she`s pulling on auntie shrew`s cape. Auntie shrew is on another cel layer some where on earth, all I know Is I do`nt have it.

My second cel, it`s of Mrs Brisby holding Timothy`s medicine. They put this one with a nice background and frame.

My Third cel, it`s of Mrs Brisby also holding Timothy`s medicine. When I first bought the cell I thought that it was the scene where Mrs.Brisby is talking to Mr. Ages when she first picked up Timothy`s medicine there at the combine, In fact, I was wrong it is not ,,,

,,, The fact is in the movie, She is just getting home with Timothy`s medicine and was talking to Auntie Shrew and not getting a good outlook on her son Martin`s behavior by the shrew.

My fourth cel, and this one I love, it`s of one of the few moments in the movie where she is truly happy and what do you think it is about ?,,,

,,,Well in the movie, Jeremy had found Timothy`s medicine after Mrs Brisby lost it while getting away form Dragon, the farm cat. (of course Jeremy did not know what it was and said "Here you dropped this back there").. So hence the greatfull and happy look..

My fifth cel , A cute one of Cynthia and Anutie Shrew , just before the rats start to move Mrs Brisby`s house, anyways there are two differrent storylines here between the book and the movie at this point. To my surprise when I received the cel I found out had gotten four cels (in all) to make this one pic in this cel.(or cels). ahh!! what the heck, good stuff..

When I got the time I framed and put nice background color on my cels, I was surprised with the way they looked and took a photo of them all together..

Books, by Don Bluth.

Two great books by Don Bluth that I have. If you ever wondered what is involved in the making of animation, these two books are a wonderful source of info. The first is "The Art of StoryBoard", this book dives into the very start of the animated movie/show, starting with the story and moves on to creativity, pre-production, production, timing, blocking, and the making of a storyboard and more.
Don`s next book "the Art of Animation Drawing" moves along into the finding the characters, voice talents, analysis of action, dialogue, music and more. These books are filled with pictures and works from many of his great animated movies like "The Secret of NIMH", "All Dogs Go To Hevean", "An Americain Tail" and more!!
