Welcome to DESIGNS BY ELVEN - Please take your time to have a look around my website, if you dont see what you are looking for just ASK .

DESIGNS BY ELVEN was born in May 2005, following my retirement from work, due to a serious road traffic accident in 2003, my subsequent slow recovery & imobility almost drove me mad, so I started to make handmade greetings cards for family & friends but unfortunately I got bored with the limitations this offered my creativity lol. 

My first creation was for my daughter AJ's prom, it was a small black flower with smaller burgundy  & white flowers for her hair, every one loved it which quite amazed me to be honest lol  I then progressed to making my other daughter Jess a headpiece for her new slow, following our change of dance school's, this turned out to be very successful, as I was then asked by parents from the dance school to make their children headpiece's, unfortunately, at this time I was still too scared to take on any commissions thinking that my work was 'not good enough'.

Then one day on Dance.net a young lady called Kate was asking if anyone could make her a headpiece for a show she was doing, but in less than a week, so I answered her plea, I made her my very first commissoned headpiece she was delighted with the results as was I,  I have not looked back since as you can see if you look at the headpiece page of my site.

Customer service is as important to me as the design,  so you can be assure of my best attention at all times even after the work is completed - Please read the comments in my Guest book if you have any doubts.

I have improved & gained so much confidence over the past 3 years, I have taught myself how to cut feathers into all sorts of shapes & sizes, make lycra & elastic headbands, arm bands, leg bands, cover mini top hats to match costumes, & created my own type of originality, whist still keeping my prices lower than most others designers. 

I would like to thank all my customes for their support in 2007 & look forward to working with lots more in 2008
