Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club were asked to be one of three hosts for the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 after a successful campaign created and designed by Bowles Associates, for which Gareth played a major part in its inception. The bidding document for Trent Bridge secured them both group stage matches and a semi-final.

Creative Director Sam Bowles said: "It takes a great deal of work to give a client the edge when they are pitching for something like a major international tournament for which the 2007 final had a worldwide television audience of a billion people.

For Trent Bridge's successful campaign our proposal was strong and we are delighted they have reaped the benefits."

Following a re-alignment of the services offered at Bowles Associates, here follows the resurrection of Design and Creative and Gareth as a freelance designer operating in and around Nottingham.

Notts County FC matchday magazine wins the 'Best Design - League Two' prize from Programme Monthly for the 2007-2008 season. Redesigned by Gareth for especially for this season he was honoured to achieve Best in League status in his first season as it's designer.

David Middleton of Bowles Associates, also deserves special mention for his photographic and design skills in keeping the quality of the magazine consistently high. Working to the strictest possible deadlines with sometimes three matches in a 10 day period, it's pleasing to have ones efforts recognised with an award.

After entering an online competition, some examples of work have been shortlisted to feature in an international review of logotype design named 'Branded', published by Debut Publications.

Ive been offered the position of graphic designer at Bowles Associates, a Design and PR agency based in Nottingham. Starting in March 2007, it signals the closure of Design and Creative, though it will remain in spirit in my exciting new role.

After an assessment in London, I've been granted full membership status to the Chartered Society of Designers, and therefore entitled to use the affix MCSD.
