Training:
Training will remain being held at Aldiss park until the end of the season - the last session being planned for the 4th may 2004. Please stay off the pitches / goal areas before the start of training at 7:30pm.
End Of Season Presentations:
The club will be holding its End Of Season Presentation Day on Cup Final day - 22nd May 2004. The day starts at 12:00 with presentations for the younger teams before the Cup Final will be shown on a big screen. The U15s presentations are scheduled between 7:30pm - 8:30pm and the players will be able to obtain free food via tickets from the kitchen. The club provides a Player of the Season and a Most Improved Player trophy.
Summer Tournaments:
Due to a limited number of competitions for the U16 age group and the need for the manager and no doubt the players to have a rest we will not be entering the boys in any competitions other than the Waveney 11 a side Tournament on Sat 28th August 2004. If anyone else wishes to arrange anything else then feel free.
Preston Retirement Rumours:
The following statement was given by the manager (who also has the full support of the players, supporters and the board!) " One or two people have spoken to me recently about next season as there seems to be a rumour around that I'm 'retiring'. This is not the case as far as I am concerned - if the boys are willing to be as totally committed and as loyal as thay have been this season, then I am willing to carry on."
End of rumour!
Next Season:
It is more than likely that many of the team will be involved in the U18 and senior teams next season and other demands on players time such as up-coming exams means Sunday football can sometimes take a back seat. It is with this in mind that Preston would like to meet up with the team and parents after the last home game of the season on Sunday 2nd May to celebrate what the boys have achieved over the season and discuss plans for next year, including a possible trip overseas.
