This particular group build was instigated by Nick Allen & Richard Middleton following a conversation at Scale Modelworld. As both these modellers are Wallace and Gromit mad, the release by Airfix of the Anti-Pesto Van from the film 'Curse of the Were-Rabbit', was a sheer gift in terms of subject matter. The van is a superb kit in its own right, but add a bit of lunacy and modelling licence, and a project is born!
The rules ...
(1) Starting date for the build was December 25th 2005, well, once you've opened the kit, you've got to build it?
(2) The model must be your own work.
(3) You may enter as many variations of the kit as you wish.
(4) The van to be built OTHER than box stock, the more outrageous the better.
(5) The Wallace & Gromit figures MUST be used, however, you may alter them in any way you choose.
(6) Prizes? ... non as yet! ... but this is actually a fun build? ... not a competition.
That's it! ... nice and simple. Build finish date will be November 17th 2006, just in time for the display at SMW. There will be a dedicated table at SMW 2006 to show your efforts.
