The competition as one of the best activity for the member of Student
Technologists and Entrepreneur of the Philippines which being held annually.
Not only because the student will received recognition for their skills bu
t also the change to travel in different province and region if he or
she survives the Regional elimination.
It mean any contestant of specific contest category has to compete
first in school level, municipal level (first place from school level only),
division level, regional level and lastly national level. (There is a proposal
for ASEAN Technology Competition for High School). That is why only
the best student can compete in National Level where he or she will be
competing with the best from diferent regions.. Every year the level of
competition is getting difficult with the coaches and contestant became
more expert in the category thier participated
Location for Division level will hosted by rotation among selected schoo
l capable of handling the division affair. Nornally, the same procedure followed in national level. The host Region rotates among its members. The first ever STEP competiton was held in Region VII, Central Visayas. The competition was settled in two location, EcoTech Center and Abellana Nationa High School. The second competition was held in Region VI, Western Visayas were the participants enjoyed the beach of BORACAY after the competition. The third STEP was held in Region 5, Bicol Region followed by Region 10. The 5th STEP competition was held in the summer capital of the Philippines Baguio City, CARAGA Region. Yes this is the first time participants from south experience the temperature of this famous city.
Normally, while the contest is going on, there are some program every night where the participants are being entertaint by the host region. In the morning, the organizer invited speakers to rekindle the spirit of enthusiasm among coaches, teachers, principals and officials. There were topic like technology, entrepreneurship and even beauty matter.
Every final event specially the awarding ceremony is always the night to remember or shall we said the unforgetable moment for the participants. It is not only because of the awards and prices neither the actor and actresses but the dancec and songs provided by the host region. Moreover the excitement given in the cultural presentation.
The 6th STEP Natonal Competition is to be hosted tentatively by Region IV B particularly Palawan Islands were participants can enjoy the scenery of this famous island.
