I was perusing the internet for information regarding weight loss
programs and came across your website. I found the article on LA
Weight Loss and their false advertising claims to be of great
interest. I just came back from a consultation at a Quick Weight Loss
Center in South Florida. I believe that Quick Weight Loss
and LA Weight Loss have a history together.... with the former
possibly being an outgrowth of the latter.

The following narrates my experience today at Quick Weight Loss: I
made an appt for a consultation believing that the cost of the program
was on special at $6 per week. After arriving, I asked for a program
in which I could lose 50 lbs, which they claimed I could do in 20
weeks. So, I figured that I'd pay $120 plus the cost of any
supplements I wanted to buy. After listening to their entire
presentation the cost quoted to me was approximately $580 plus the
cost of supplements. The initial $580 was to cover the cost of the
program for 20 weeks plus an initial supply of supplements. I asked
how they arrived at that price since $6 per week times 20 only came to
$120. What I found out was that they are calculating an additional 52
weeks times $6 per week for what they are calling maintenance visits.
So..... no matter how many weeks you buy, they are automatically
adding on a required, additional 52 weeks of maintenance into the
package at a cost of $312. Then I asked if I had to purchase their
pill (herbs, vitamins, minerals) supplements and was told "yes". They
DID NOT volunteer that information up front. I had to ask. The cost of
these supplements (pills)
averages about $50 per week, which does not include any of the food
products (soups, shakes, bars, etc) they recommend you buy from them.
Therefore, the cost of a 20 week program costs approximately $1500
(assuming you are not buying any
of their food products). That is a FAR CRY from $6 per week. They are
calling this so called *special* a promotion. I call it false
advertising. Of course I walked out.
