MANDALA

The Mandala is symbolic of the Sun, the Earth and Eternity in the Circle of Life.  Many Indian cultures use the mandala in healing rituals.  One belief is that meditation of the mandala helps to restore unity of the body, spirit & inner self with the Great Spirit, Mother Earth & all their children.

This Eagle Spirit Mandala was made using materials on hand, coat hanger, plastic pony beads, moose antler pieces, wood beads, pig skin leather, mink fur(from family craft supplies, years of accumalation) and leather lacing.  the ring is approximately 7 inches in diameter.   The eagle is drawn freehand and then colored. The drawing is done with permanent ink and white acrylic leather dye.

On back of mandala is the meaning of the animal Spirit.

TRANSFORMATION

This mandala was made using blue pigskin leather, brass ring, black leather lacing, rabbit fur, and carribou antler pieces.  The ring is 9 inches in diameter.  The drawing was done freehand, using permanent ink and acrylic leather dyes.

On the back of mandala is the meaning of the Butterfly spirit.
