Democrats have been on the side of civil liberties and peace for some time now. Republicans may have once held those things dear, but have been taken over by NeoConservative thought, which puts National Offense and big business first in priority.

But the light of the true American spirit still burns in many people, regardless of political party or demographics.

When given the choices 1. Big government or 2. Big Military-Industrial Complex, and assuming we're not still mesmorized by fancy haircuts and big budgets, most Americans choose 3. None of the above. And as no major party is offering the real American alternative, people are learning that "old-school" conservatism is not a bad way to go.
