Wolfscripting is something many, many role players do these days. Sad thing is, a lot of them don't mean to nor know they're even doing it at all...they just see others using them, ask what they mean (or guess), get told that it means something different, (Example: "What does 'brujo' mean?" "Oh, it means a male canine, like a wolf." "Oh, thanks.") then begins using it; because they believe that it means something else, and don't bother to look it up or anything. Who would? You'd think that you could trust someone that was using it, wouldn't you?

What is Wolfscripting?
'Wolfscript' is actually similar to chatspeak; both have the main population of the people using them being n00bs; and even though some obviously are unaware of the fact that the words they are using may not exist, or mean something entirely different than what they think they do, some DO know that they mean many different things or do not exist, and say that it is considered "cool", and makes them seem more "advanced".

'Wolfscripter' is a word used to describe someone who is using a word to describe something that means something completely different than what they think it does, or are using it for.

Take 'Fae' for example. Like almost ALL of the words in the wolfscript dictionary, this word was created to be used with a false meaning by wolf role players, and copied into a virtual pet role play, or even occasionally used in a modern human role play and any others.

'Fae', in wolfscript, means "female canine/wolf"; pretty much a female canine.
If you look it up, the word 'Fae' (VERY often mis-spelled as "fea") has nothing to do with a canine OR the female gender, and is actually an 'explosive device', a 'bomb', if you will.

The wolfscript word "Brute" is also over-used a lot, meaning "Male canine/wolf", and I've seen some use it for male virtual pets that are beastlike or other animals like lions, tigers and so on. The true meaning for it is just "Beast", "Animal" or "Something that is Brutal", so when someone uses "Brute", it could mean anything, and they really didn't tell you what gender their pet was, nor what species it was; as a 'beast' is sometimes associated with the word 'animal' in general, and there are quite a lot of animals out there. Technically, virtual pets aren't animals at all, but wolves are, so this word /does/ fit in a wolf role play; although it's very undescriptive.
It doesn't even tell you that the character being used is a wolf. A 'brute' could be a bear, a buffalo, or even a lion or something; and still, it could be female, because there ARE female animals and "beasts".
I would still consider a 900-pound FEMALE tiger a 'brute', wouldn't you?

Actually, I once had a lupe/draik hybrid that was nearly six feet tall and a good 1,200 pounds, because she was half draik; or dragon.

She was called Chamwi, and how I longed to use the word "brute" to describe her in a role play.
It was the perfect description for her; she was a beast. She was brutal, and she was a wild animal that loved nothing more than to maim and kill something for the sheer 'fun' of it.
It just fit. So, one time, I decided to go ahead and try it.
Wolfscipt having its own meaning or not, I knew the true meaning, and thought I'd use it anyway.
WHAT a horrible mistake. x__X
The whole role play was ruined because I had three female lupes hitting on and flirting with my- yes, FELLOW female lupe; and they all thought she was male, because I said the word 'brute' to describe her; despite the several "her"s and "she"s mentioned in the introduction as well.

They were so used to people using "Brute" to describe a male canine that they didn't bother to see she mentioned "she"s and "her"s in my post, just saw she was darigan and seemed cool in the role play, and, having narrow-minded love-sick despies for role players, each wanted to make her their own personal butt-monkey.

Needless to say, one noticed she was female and apologized, the others just removed the "You're really cool and cute" links to her off of their lookups and left the role play; I'm assuming deleting the whole thing from their memories out of embarassment.

So yes, wolfscript CAN be annoying and very confusing if you're using the word for the true definition and someone else thinks you're a wolfscripter and knows the false meaning, but...well, here's a few more wolfscript words to watch out for. I'll try to do my best to describe them correctly...

Brute	Male Canine/Wolf	"Beast", "Brutal" or "Animal". Has nothing to do with the male gender.
Fae (Often misspelled as 'Fea')	Female Canine/Wolf	An Explosive Device, or "One Of The Faries". Has nothing to do with the female gender. "Fea" is just an acronym. As an actual word, it does not exist.
Femora	Female Canine/Wolf	A bone of the leg situated between the pelvis and knee in humans. It is the largest and strongest bone in the body.
Brujo	Male Canine/Wolf	This word does not exist at all. The closest thing to it is 'Bruno'.
Tassel (Often misspelled as 'Tassle')	A Tail, Usually Wolf or Horse	A bunch of loose threads or cords bound at one end and hanging free at the other; A decoration, usually used on curtains and gratuation hats.
Banner	Tail	A piece of cloth attached to a staff; A headline spanning the width of a newspaper page.
Orbs	Eyes	A Sphere, Globe, Round Object or Circle. Could work, but there might be other "round" things on your character, so it's confusing.
Optics (Sometimes said as "Opts")	Eye or Eyes	A lense, prism, or mirror. (Your wolf wears glasses...?)
Terra (Often used to shorten "Terrain", which IS correct.)	The ground, Grass, or Earth	A rough upland or mountainy region of the moon. (Oh no, moon-walking wolves! xD)
Aud or Auds, Audits, Auditives	Wolf or Dog Ears, usually Erect and Pointed	No such word as 'auds', but 'aud' is "To examine financial accounts", and Audits is 'An examination of records or financial accounts to check their accuracy.' \| No such word as Auditives
Pinna, Pinnas or Pinnae	Ears	A leaflet or primary division of a pinnately compound leaf; The outer projecting portion of the human ear.
Crania / Cranium	Head or Face	Crania: A plural of cranium. Cranium: The portion of the skull enclosing the brain; the braincase, NOT the whole skull, the back of it.
Hock	Ankle or part of a Canine's leg.	A small cut of meat, especially ham, from the front or hind leg directly above the foot.
Wolven	'Fancy' word for a Wolf or Wolflike Character.	The word 'Wolven' doesn't even exist, but 'Wolfen' does.
Dial	A Face	The face of a CLOCK, or a Sundial, NOT a living being. I've seen this all over, and it's sad because people will see "dial" when they look in a thesaurus, though it means the face of a clock, not animal.
Pillars	Legs	A structure or part that provides support and resembles a column or pillar. In other words, a tall building would be called a 'pillar', or the supports under a bridge, but not moving and bending limbs of a living being.
Plumage	Fur	The covering of feathers on a bird.
Pelt / Peltage	Fur	1. The skin of an animal with the fur or hair still on it. 2. A stripped animal skin ready for tanning. In other words, it means an animal's coat, but skinned off of them and possibly turned into a LITERAL coat to be worn by a human; NOT still attatched to the living animal. \| The word 'peltage' does not exist.
Bodice	A Body	1. The fitted part of a dress that extends from the waist to the shoulder. 2. A woman's laced outer garment, worn like a vest over a blouse. (..Your wolf wears dresses? o_O)
Dubbance / Dubbed	Name	1. To tap lightly on the shoulder by way of conferring knighthood. 2. To honor with a new title or description. 3. To give a name to facetiously or playfully; nickname. \| In other words, a nickname of some sort. 'Dub' can also mean 'poke' and such; and there is no such word as 'Dubbance'.
Maw	An animal's muzzle, mouth, or possibly nose.	The mouth, stomach, jaws, or gullet of a voracious animal, especially a carnivore. \| In other words, this means that it could be ANY of those. (All of these 'she lifts her maw' or 'she licked his maw' just frightens me if people are sticking their bellies up or licking peoples' stomachs..)
Alphess	Alpha Female	No such word. It is wisest to just use 'alpha female' instead of making up words that sound correct or copying others.
Incisors	Canine Teeth / Fangs	A tooth adapted for cutting or gnawing, located at the front of the mouth along the apex of the dental arch. \| In other words, the front two top teeth in HUMANS, or the four flat teeth in the front of mouths that belong to animals such as rabbits, rats, hamsters, squirrels, mice and other various rodents. (Sorry, but imagining a wolf with giant rodent/buck teeth just makes me laugh. XD)
Pools	Eyes (Example: "Her chocolate pools glanced around.")	A small body of still water. Has nothing to do with an eyeball of any sort.
Adenoids	Nose or Nostrils	One of two masses of lymphoid tissue located at the back of the nose in the upper part of the throat.
Vixen	A Female Wolf, or even Horse	1. A female fox. A woman regarded as quarrelsome, shrewish, or malicious. Please note that it says NOTHING about relating to an animal that is not a simple female fox, and a fox only.
Ebonite	Black (Used as things such as fur color and so on)	A relatively inelastic rubber, made by vulcanization with a large amount of sulfur and used as an electrical insulating material.
Oculis, Oculi	Eyes or an Eye	An eyelike opening or ornament, especially a round window or a circular opening at the apex of a dome.
Pistons	Legs, Limbs	A solid cylinder or disk that fits snugly into a larger cylinder and moves under fluid pressure, as in a reciprocating engine, or displaces or compresses fluids, as in pumps and compressors.
Crown	Head, usually used for Males only	An ornamental circlet or head covering, often made of precious metal set with jewels and worn as a symbol of sovereignty. Has nothing to do with a head itself.
Tiara	Head, usually used for Females only	An ornamental, often jeweled, crownlike semicircle worn on the head by women on formal occasions.
Hellward	Down. Opposite of 'heavenward'.	Word doesn't exist.
Femme	Female, or a Female	Slang; Exhibiting stereotypical or exaggerated feminine traits. Used especially of lesbians and gay men.
