Pink and Green Auction

Every year we hold our Pink and Green Auction and raise money for St. Rita's School for the Deaf and Galludet University, the only university dedicated to the speech and hearing impaired. In past years, we have raised thousands of dollars in order to aid special projects for these schools. We helped the Galludet University Dance Team purchase a vibrating dance floor, and delivered school supplies to St. Rita's students grades K-6.

Kickball

The Delta Zeta kickball tournament is an event NKU students always look forward to. This day long tournament is not only fun, but a great way to support The Painted Turtle Camp in California. The Painted Turtle Camp is a multi-disease camp for children whose daily struggles often diminish both their desire to be well and their ability to lead a rich, productive life.  We invite our friends, family and community to come out and enjoy this childhood favorite, along with some fun extras. Last year, we even had a dunking booth to raise some extra money. Kickball is awesome, and we really make a difference when holding this event.

Delta Zeta sisters also volunteer at the Painted Turtle Camp in the summer as counselors

Adopt-a-Highway

Highway 27 is the adopted highway of Delta Zeta. You'll see us our there every semester in our bright orange vests. We clean the highway because we know it is important to our community, and its another excuse to get together!

Dee Zee Supports the Troops

This annual project for the last two years. Delta Zeta writes letters and collects items for care packages to send to the troops. This event has been a huge success in the past.

New Member Philanthropy

As a new member of Delta Zeta, our sisters have the opportunity to pick a cause important to them and create an event around it. With the help of our older sisters, these events have not only been an awesome learning experience but they have truly made a difference.

  •  Our Fall of 2008 class held a "Nothing but Nets" fundraiser, where playing soccer and shooting hoops for a donation went to buy mosquito nets for families in Africa.
  •  Our Spring 2008 class held a fundraiser for Redwood Rehabilitation Center and collected school supplies for children in need.
  •  Our Fall 2007 class screened the movie Invisible Children and held a candle-light prayer service for children in war stricken Uganda. This movement formed the organization School for Schools, which was recognized as the most outstanding organization on campus in 2008.
  • Our Fall 2007 class held a Sleepout for the Homeless, collecting over 200 canned goods for the homeless before Thanksgiving.

Do Something About World Hunger

Delta Zeta teamed up with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority to package food that would go to feed starving people in Haiti. Together we bonded and saved lives. We were featured in The Lamp, Delta Zeta's National Magazine, for our efforts.
