UPDATE  March 16, 2006 - from Tommy & Carol Barnes

Sedona, Arizona - site of the 2006 reunion!  Well, the plans are laid and set for Sept 1-4 in Sedona.  Checking with Sedona Central Reservations, so far the following have made their reservations:

  • Terry & Carol Andreessen
  • Jarvis Ellis
  • Carl & Pat Landwehr
  • Tom & Janet Luedde
  • Tom & Carol Barnes

If you have been holding off booking your air and car because of the Travelocity booking code - it looks like they are flaking out on us, due to the fact they do not have the ability to track car and air reservations!  (Geeze - and we're a technology company.)  Anyhow - go ahead and book thru Travelocity - and let Carol know your confirmation numbers.  She will track it and give them the information.   Afterall, Carol DOES WORK NEXT DOOR, and has some clout!!!

Only a few POOL ROOMS remaining - so let's get our reservations made.

Sedona Central Reservations to bring you the best and most exciting reunion yet!  Plan on packing your sunscreen, visors, hiking boots - or best tennis shoes.

An agreement with Travelocity has just been finalized.  Travelocity will be offering us 1 FREE AIRLINE ticket for every 30 air ticket purchased on Travelocity.com - which we will be able to use as a Grand Prize drawing.  So - here's your incentive to BOOK ON TRAVELOCITY.  Carol will work closely with them to monitor bookings.

AND - as a very special Guest Appearance, the internationally famous ROAMING GNOME will be joining us to go hiking, touring, exploring, climbing, shopping and just about anything we want to do.  Sounds like a PHOTO OPP!!!

I know you can expect a fabulous time in the Red Rock Country of northern Arizona. Our reunions will just keep getting better and better!

Carol & I will be posting some pics upon our return so you can checkout the host hotel and some of the fantastic sites we'll be visiting next year.  Carol has also been working on our DELTA CO ARMY REUNION Scrapbook that highlights past and present reunions, along with photos we have all collected from our stint in Vietnam.  I'd like to encourage others to bring their collective works next year so we can all compare!

In the meantime, checkout all the options Sedona & Oak Creek Canyon has to offer:

Just where in the world is Sedona?  Known worldwide for its red rock beauty, the community of Sedona sits in the heart of Central Arizona, 120 miles north of Phoenix and 30 miles south of Flagstaff. At an elevation of 4500 feet, Sedona enjoys four mild seasons. The breathtaking natural beauty, climate, and clean air and water combine to make Sedona Arizona's second most popular tourist attraction.

Sedona is located in both Coconino and Yavapai Counties and is completely surrounded by the Coconino National Forest.

Early Native Americans considered the Red Rocks sacred and traveled from afar to perform ceremonies among the sublime formations. Only the bravest chiefs and medicine men were allowed in to what was considered to be home to the gods. Cathedral Rock was honored as the birthplace of the first man and woman. Even today you can see the first woman and man standing back to back in the formation.

Sedona has become a center for traditional and contemporary arts and offers a variety of galleries, boutiques and specialty shops.

On the left hand side are links that will take you to interesting Veteran websites, & web pages we have created  to introduce you to Sedona, Photo Galleries for a Blasts from the past, our members & contact info, etc. Check it out!!!!
