Across Cobbles - Over Waves

Open Air Museums bring history to life. You actually get to see for yourself, how people lived and worked in the past.

The museums which I am showing you here, portray the lives of people through from Nelson’s time up to the early 1900’s.

And, of course, there is Captain Cook’s ship Endeavour. He was born in Marton, which at that time was a village, but now has been swallowed up, and is more a suburb of Middlesbrough.

The collage above, is of my parents when they were young children, and my grandparents, when they themselves were young.
