Delphic Fraternity History

Over 135 Years of Brotherhood & Tradition

Delphic Dahlias / Gamma Rubies

The Delphic Fraternity socialized and held joint ventures with many of the state sororities throughout the late 19th and 20th centuries. Delphic had strong affiliations with statewide Clionians, Agonians, and Arethusa. Delphic of Gamma Sigma Tau at the zeta chapter at New Paltz decided to honor this tradition by forming an auxiliary sister organization. The Delphic Dahlias were formed in 1988 to assist the organization with its social and community endeavors. In 1992 the auxiliary earned its long desired Greek letter to also be known as the Gamma Rubies of Gamma Sigma Tau. The fraternity’s auxiliary has only existed on the New Paltz campus, which became inactive in 2004.
