Delphic Fraternity History

Over 135 Years of Brotherhood & Tradition

Associations (official and unofficial)

NMGC
Delphic of Gamma Sigma Tau Fraternity, Inc. is officially associated with the National Multicultural Greek Council.

Delphic
Our history and the strength of individual chapters helped form unaffiliated fraternal descendents of Delphic. Though only Delphic of Gamma Sigma Tau is incorporated as The Delphic Fraternity, Inc., there are other fraternities in the New York region that may connect their history to Delphic.

Delphic has had associations with other fraternities/sororities throughout its 136 year history. Our historic chapters in the north east had official and unofficial associations with several sororities in the region, including Clionians, Agonians, and Arethusa.

Sig Tau
In the 1950s the Delphic Fraternity at New Paltz became briefly associated the national organization of Sigma Tau Gamma. In the 1960s former New York affiliated chapters of Sigma Tau Gamma came together to create the Sig Tau Confederation. The group met for a few years then became inactive. There are three remaining chapters of the former Sig Tau Confederation:  Delphic of Gamma Sigma Tau at New Paltz and Binghamton, Sigma Tau Chi at Oswego, and Sigma Tau Psi at Geneseo. Today Delphic of Gamma Sigma Tau Fraternity is a regional autonomous organization.
