Born in New Marske, Tom had seen many events and galas that included jugglers, unicyclists and clowns but didn't think much of it at the time. That was until he appeared in 'Cinderella' at the forum, as a member of the ensemble. With a star line up of cast members including Penny King form Coronation street, Sylvia from Bad Girls, Bodger and Badger and... "oh, yes, a speciality act going by the name of, 'Andrew Vanburen' and his assistant 'Allyson'". From this point in rehearsals and the first few performances Tom engaged his attention towards this fantastic speciality routine which included; porcelain plate spinning, juggling and much more.

Once the run of the show was well underway Vanburen offered to teach Tom his unique skill of juggling in between shows. By the end of the run Tom had picked up some basic skills in juggling and Diablo and he then went on to improve his ability and performance techniques, to live the dream of performing much like his idol 'Vanburen.'

Since then Tom has gone on to perform across the region in a wide range of different events from cabaret style acts, hotels, galas, fetes, open days, weddings, campsites and more.
