Here is another Windows program that follows on from Garmin 60CSx Whiz, and Oregon Whiz.
Like the previous programs, Colorado Whiz was also largely developed on the Sony Playstation Portable,
and then ported to run on the Windows platform.
This program allows the user to customise some of the graphics that appear on Garmin Colorado GPS units
including the Automotive odometer graphic panel, USB mass storage graphic, compass dial image,
background image, and the roller wheel image that appears when menus are active.
Separate template images are provided with the program package where it is necessary to maintain the position
of shapes or information windows within an image provided by the user.

The Colorado background image appears to be the only true 24 bit image used with Garmin handhelds to date.
Although the device wouldn't be capable of displaying it that way.
It also appears that the background image is smaller than the screen, and is stretched by software for the display.
If you replace the background image, it's best to create a 240x400 image, then shrink it to 80x400 so that it will
maintain it's proportion when displayed on the Colorado. This strange implementation is unique to the Colorado.
Note for Windows Vista users: Please Right click the application icon, and select "Run As Administrator".
Please read the documentation carefully before use.
