INT. DAME’S MIND – LATE (EPISODE 2:BLUSH OF COOL)
BLACK AND WHITE: DAME MIDNIGHT sits in a room smokin’ a cig. But that cig ain’t the only thing burning. She remains silent. Until…
DAME
Jonny Spade and I met at a time when the sky’s
were blue and the birds had a song to sing. He
was in a fix over some bird crackin’ foxy ‘bout a
job that he had nothing ta deal with. Normally I
would have kept my stride on the sunny side, but
he reminded me of someone. Someone I lost.
(takes a drag)
But that’s a bedtime as he would say.
(mashes the cig right out)
Till then I always worked alone, but he made
me smile with a blush of cool that only Jonny
could bottle up and sell for a nickel. And the
rest is the kitty’s PJ’s.
