The trailer that was at E3 has done what all Square-Enix trailers seem to do! Confuse! But here's our theories on what it might be about.
The opening writing
Everyone should recognise the writing that comes up at the beginning, it's the same as the text on the original trailer for Kingdom Hearts. But the graphics behind are taken from the KH game, not KH2 as you woud expect. This could be symbolism for the task not being complete maybe?
We also see shots from the ending of KH and the one that really sticks out is the door to Kingdom Hearts closing on Riku. Whether this has relevance is anyone's guess, but I always thought that was the moist poingnant part of the ending FMV. Anyway, the writing comes and goes and then we are presented with a new area of the KH universe.
Unknown Village
We see a village here with a young girl walking into it. Not too sure what/where this village is, but the young girl could easily be an older Kairi (remember KH2 is a year on from KH1 apparently.)
Destiny City?
The reason for giving this place the title of Destiny City, is because you can see Destiny Islands in the background when the camera zooms in. This is probably the city where Riku, Kairi and Sora lived before KH as there are no houses on Destiny Islands, and they have to take a boat to get to DI.
We also see three kids playing on the rooftop of one of the buildings. I think that this is very reminiscent of Kairi, Sora and Riku on Destiny Islands at the beginning of KH, but that might be coincidence. They're playing with some coloured balls and holding them up to the sun. No idea what that's about, any thought's anyone?
We also see a fourth kid running through the city, chasing after what is clearly a Heartless. We now know that this kid is Twin Keyblade (me!). In another video we see this kid draw Oathkeeper and Oblivion, and that's too much of a coincidence for me! Seems a bit too young though.
While were on the subject of TK and Deep Dive maybe this city is the Rainsoaked City seen in DD and ASAS? I'm scepticle about this though because the Rainsoaked City was very real, whereas this city is in the cartoony KH style. Not sure.
Shadow Summoner and me are at a disagreement about this city though. She's adament that it's Neverland (the clock tower the kids are sitting on), but I'm not sure as it looks too modern. Thoughts people?
The Red Haired Unknown (Axel)
The next shot is of the Red Haired Unknown (we now know that his name is Axel thanks to the member Blindfold) . If you look in the background you can clearly see the Twin Keyblade Kid standing there listening to Axel.
Then comes Axel standing in a ring of fire obviously about to fight someone/something. We can't see who it is though. It could easily be Sora or the TK Kid. Axel uses two circular blade weapons, similar to the ones that Rikku uses in FFX-2 when in thief costume.
Battle Shots
We now go into a few shots from the actual gameplay itself. The battle system looks very similar to KH1, but it's a lot faster, and Sora does tons of really cool arial moves!
We then see tons of shots from cut scenes in the game. Disney films still take precedence (from the trailer, there's Hercules and Beauty and The Beast), but it doesn't seem to be following the films storyline. Also, we see a lot of shots of what we call, the Unknowns, and especially, The Enigmatic Man. We also see a new Unknown in red who's distinctly different to the others. He appearsto be the leader, and we've heard a rumour that his name is Seth. Not sure if this is true, it was only a rumour from someone I know!
Charging The Unknown
Oh yeah, another scene that I've forgotten! At one point, Sora draws his Keyblade and charges towards an Unknown at Hollow Bastion whilst Goofy and Donald fend off Heartless. Just as Sorareaches him, the Unknown lifts his hands to his hood and starts to take it off. Then the scene changes!!! You can't see anything as his face is black, but it's a tantalising glimpse at one of the Unknowns!
War of The Heartless
This is my favourite part of the video, if the scariest! Sora, Donald and Goofy are standing in a huge ravine at an unknown location. At first we thought it was Hollow Bastion, and that seems to be the most likely place as you can see a castle in the background, however if you look closely at the towers, they don't look right! Anyways, Sora and co are standing there when a huge army of Heartless appear. They all turn towards our heroes and surround them. There are hundreds of Heartless (this is gonna be one heck of a boss battle!). You sit there hoping that something will appear to save them, but Sora draws the Keyblade and charges! Like I said, evil boss battle!
Sealing The Stars
The last scene (that I can remember!) is Sora leaping into the air to seal a huge keyhole that has appeared in the sky. We don't know what keyhole this is or anything and it's mighty confusing! Any idea's people?
Right, just in conclusion, the trailer is a typical Square-Enix trailer, in that it shows a good mix of battle and story from the game. However, on closer examination, you realise that most of it is probably from near the start of the game. On the fight scenes, look at Sora's HP gauge. It's tiny. Therefore you can only assume that it's near the beginning.

*has an emotional breakdown* so I'm guessing for most of you not that often. (Here comes the but so be prepared) But (there you go) thanks to our lovely memebers on the forum we have got this picture of Sora wearing not black, not white, not pink, but red. This costume looks really different to the one that has been seen in the usual picture and trailers, we (me, TK-kinda and the other memebers) have been trying to think of why this could be. I thought that it could be like X-2s costume change, but its unlike Square to use an idea twice, especailly as they used it only months before in X-2. Then it was pointed out that in the battle system (this is a rumour so don't hate me if its wrong
I'll get writing again then. Well KH2 should be out here soon. In other words they mean christmas...
Anyway I'll come back to this page when I've updated other parts of the site! Hopefully it'll keep the paragraph on here this time.
