What Is a puppymill???

Only God Can Judge Us!

Am I Puppy Friendly/Ready???

Every Puppy deserves a Human, But not every human deserves a Puppy!

Are you puppy Ready/Friendly??

1)  Do you have enough time to devote to the care and well being of your puppy, training, grooming exercise and general care?  Some puppies will have to eat and go outside every 4 hours around the clock. Do you have a fenced in yard?

2)  Can I AFFORD a Puppy/Dog??

Pets are a LUXURY.  There is no such thing as a "cheap" dog.  Veterinarians dont work for free, and some are quite expensive.  Shots, dental care, neutering spaying can run several hundred dollars.  What if you Pet has a unexpected injury or emergency that could cost several thousand to save your pets life, can you afford that??

3) Do you have the Pets Best interest at heart?

Do not buy a puppy for a small young child its not fair to the puppy.  Are you buying the puppy and willing to make a 15 year commitment, do you own your own home?  Have you ever had a dog before? do you know the responsiblity it takes to care for it?

New Puppy Tips!

A puppy is like a new Baby and requires devoted care and attention especially the 1st few months in a new home. Puppy Proof your home with baby gates I find a regular childs playpenn comes in handy better than a crate.  It is convenient for when your not home or go to work or at night it is a safe place put food water blanket and puppy safe toy in it for your puppy.  Never let your puppy loose in the yard without a secure fence I have had more people tell me they have had their puppies lost, run over, stolen IT ONLY TAKES ONCE!!

A new puppy needs a familiar routine for going outside, every couple hours the same times daily.  Wee Wee Pads/ Papers come in handy to for bad weather etc.  Always keep your puppy in your own yard until it has had ALL its shots, viruses can live in dog parks, pet stores, other peoples yards it can live for months.  Its better to be Safe than Sorry.  When I see these folks dragging a poor little puppy to pet stores to shop or out and about around town I just cringe dont they realize a puppy little immune system is still weak and developing.  There are many thing deadly to puppies/dogs also, fertilizer on your grass, anti-freeze for your car, chocolate, lysol products-spray, mouse and pesticide products.  THINK.  BE SAFE.

I recommend a harness Instead of a collar it is kinder and safer.  I have had more people tell me their puppies or dogs have strangled on collars or developed collapsed tracheas from always pulling on their collars when walking. Harnesses are Safer and Kinder! Also NEVER leave your puppy up on a bed or couch and walk away it could fall off and break a leg NEVER leave a young child alone with a puppy the child could drop or step on it causing much injury.  THINK SAFETY!

NEW PUPPY OWNERS TIPS ON CARE

Toy Breed dogs/puppies are Teeny little Creatures dont ever leave you pet unattended in the yard, they could escape under the fence easily PUPPY PROOF your yard I use railroad ties.  Never let your puppy/dog out loose it only takes once to run in the road, or get stolen, or lost, or get Killed.

Other animals may see your Pet as Prey, Hawks are known to kill puppies/small dogs.  Coyotes and other people dogs are also a threat.  I had a lady boarding customer with a cock-a-poo named Jo Jo, she was walking him on a leash near her home and her neighbors loose Boxer killed Jo Jo right in front of her and her children she called the police and all they did was give the owner of the loose dog a Ticket, thats it.  That is a crying shame. Its better to think Safety FIRST and Foremost. ALWAYS!!

I was at the Vets Office recently and their was a Toy Breed dog there with 1/2 of an eye, a STRAY Cat saw the tiny dog on a leash tied in front of the house and started a fight with the poor thing.  Keep your dog away from feral/stray cats. They have Sharp Claws like needles and could also Bite.
