Why I Collect Metallica:  I have been a HUGE fan of Metallica as long as I can remember.  I think I was in grade 2 when the black album came out, and I remember listening to it all the time.  It was in grade 3 when I got Ride The Lightning.  After that I casually listened to them until grade 8 when I really got into their music as I became serious about the drums.  I then realised not only how much I enjoyed their music, but how fantastic they all were as players.  I have seen Metallica a total of 3 times, and I hope that goes up the second they hit the road.  Collecting Metallica stuff is just a lot of fun.  I know that many collection sites exist, and mine is a great way to keep my collection organized.   I find it relaxing putting on a Metallica C.D. and looking through all the different pressings of the same album I have.  I know it sounds odd, but if you are on my site, you are one of two people.  1) A fellow collector so you understand  ..or..2) someone who personally knows me and understands.  First and foremost, they are my favourite band.  I think that is very important in collecting.  I know people who collect things like bottle caps, and pens, but to me I can't enjoy that. I really enjoy listening to their music, all they say and express, and I think nothing is better then thrashing out to Master of Puppets.

How Much Money Do I Spend?   Not as much as I did when I first started, but once I started buying collections and selling doubles it is not as bad.  I am still very much in the hole financially :)

Have I met them?  Once I got Lars to sign my ticket after a show in Toronto.   Kirk Shook my hand, and Rob gave me a high five.  100's of people were there, so this isn't really "meeting" someone.

What Else I Do With My Time:  TOO MUCH!  I am a Drummer and a musician.  So I spend a lot of time writing and recording music.  I have played in lots of different bands, and am currently jamming with friends.  I have no pretensions on being a famous musician, but if it happens, great :).  I also enjoy writing electronica, and experiment with live sound manipulation, and on site recording in different places.  I have scored music for dozens of plays, and a feature film.  Come the New Year (08) I will be scoring music for a feature Documentary on the political situation in Kosovo.  I also like to act, and have been in about 10 different shorts, and just finishing up a feature.

What Else Do I listen to?  I really like lots of Prog bands, as well as jazz.  Too much to talk about... so i will make a list!  Dillinger Escape Plan, The End, Opeth, Nevermore, Mike Patton, Faith No More, John Zorn, Kid 606, Dream Theater, Symphony X, Planet X, Meshuggah, Rush, Yes, Genesis, The Band, Motherlode, Mandala, Dominick Troiano, Sigur Ros, Bjork, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Jimmy Smith, Tower Of Power, David Bowie, Megadeth, Miles Davis, The Mars Volta, The Mahavishnu Orchestra, Transatlantic, Necrophagist, Pantera, Sepultura, Spiral Architect, Nine Inch Nails, Aphex Twin, Supertramp, Tony Williams,  Bill Bruford, Asia, Fantomas, Mr. Bungle, Secret Chiefs 3... Just to name a few.  YEP  I LOVE MUSIC!!!!

What Else do I collect:  Loads and Loads of LP`s :)  I mostly collect:

Jazz
Fusion
Progressive Rock
Reggae.
Toronto soul music from the 60`s and 70`s (Mothelode, Mandala, Dominic Troiano, Dr. Music ...)
Steely Dan (multiple pressings like I do Metallica)
