Know Thy Self

Keys to Successful living

Comparing leads to Jealously

Our dream home

Jealously can be described as "someone reflecting back to us, what we may lack", and we do not enjoy it. Some, may see this, as a form of self-looking. But, actually…it is also, one of those things that need a closer look, to really see it…for what, it truly is.

When we choose to measure: our intelligence, our beauty, our worth, our abilities, our happiness …against others. We are setting ourselves up for a filtered view, of whom we truly are. It no longer has to do with…just us…we added other people to the mix. It becomes a view of two; three; or more. The responsibility and power are now placed within outside sources, which are always subject to change. The choices are no longer based on the realness of reflecting our own life, but, how it compares with others. Our life is no longer, our own.

We become guilty of having other people, in charge, of self-worth and self-esteem. Not a good outcome.

All things in life, have cycles…the good; the bad; the ups; the downs. When it's our turn in life to have a high; it may be someone else's turn to have a low. This is an ever changing process; just as the wind outside. Basing our life choices off of what other's have (or) not have, would become a never-ending battle. Our life would not be reflecting ourselves…it would be reflecting others.

If we want to be truly happy and successful in life, we must make our life choices from a solid foundation only; and the only thing that will be truly consistent in our own lives…is ourselves.

~Be happy for other's successes, and yours will come.

~Be content with what you already have, and you'll have more.

~This is the way the world works.

The Optimist Creed

A Motivational Poem
The Optimist Creed
By Christian D. Larsen

Be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

Talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

Make all your friends feel there is something in them.

Look at the sunny side of everything.

Be as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

Give everyone a smile.

Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize others.

Be too big for worry and too noble for anger.
