it will save you the time and trouble of buying fake lacoste items that are flooding ebay.co.uk right now,The main reason im doing this is because lacoste is back on the up again and i dont want to see one of my favorite casual wear brands diminished by the fake low quality items for sale today they dont deserve it lacoste polo's are the best feeling polo's you can buy they are light and feel great in the summer...
1: plain lacoste polo's have two buttons only Both buttons are made from mother of pearl and feel cold to the touch. bellow is some examples of fake and real items.
This is a real lacoste polo notice two mother of pearl buttons and position of croc between placket

also note the position of the croc it's sits between placket
and first button not in line with first button as with some fakes of in line with placket
also on some fakes.

-size is written as a number between 3 to 9 in red on the top left corner of the tag
-have a inner tag on the bottom right side of the polo

Striped Polos
-have 3 buttons
-designed in FRANCE
-made in MOROCCO
-number below that reads RN 87651- CA 16998 and it is written in forest green
-alligator is about 1 '' long and 1/2'' tall
-size is written as a number between 3 to 9 in red on the top left corner of the tag
-have a inner tag on the bottom right side of the polo
-are longer than plain polos
all the stripped polo pic's bellow are all REAL so use them with the info above to judge for yourself if a lacoste item your are looking at is real or not

Thats about all i have on stripped polo's i have no pic's of fake stripped ones but look for the same as plain ones bad crocs and tags crocs not in the right place ect.
I have heard people talk of plain polo's with 3 buttons instead of two (still mother of pearl of course) that are real but have never seen one myself and i only buy from lacoste outlets so i cant say but from this info you should be able to get a good idea of what to look for,one thing i can say is if your lacoste polo's feels like a normal run of the mill polo to wear then be suspicious they should feel nice and light to wear on.
Also if the price looks to good to be true then it probably is ive never seen a real lacoste polo for less than £30 in stores,also be wary of people saying they are discounted buy alot such discounting does not happen as there's huge demand for them and real retailers would never heavly discount such in demand items.
Please ask sellers if the item is genuine and ask them questions because even some ebay power sellers & even retail shops have brought fakes before without knowing it,If you have brought a fake dont lose your cool as the seller may have been sold them by warehouse retailers that told them they are 100% genuine in that case they have done nothing wrong in the eyes of the law so be sure it's not an honest mistake by a genuine seller,a good seller will all ways take back an item if it's proved fake so try to deal with it in a calm and friendly manner.

This was done by ebayer: gemmalowe to inform other ebayers of a very bad problem on ebay with fakes maybe if enough people see this then it will get better but for now for every 1 real item i see on ebay i have to go though 50 items of fake stuff claiming it's real and thats just not good enough as ebay is a great place and i love nothing more than buying things from there but when you pay for real and get fake that's no good and ebay reputation will suffer for it.
