My name is Ryan and I have been keeping poultry for a long time and have recently got interested in chickens when I was feeding my neighbours chickens in January 2005. I am going to start showing my birds in the EKKA 2006: 10 August - 19 August I get a poultry book every  4 weeks it's got all the shows all over Australia. In February last year I started with 3 Light Bantam Sussex & 3 Point of Lay Hens. Then  I was Breeding one Little Chicken & I did have 2 Roosters, my little baby chicken, he is a tame little chicken I can feed it by hand. I was feeding the little baby chicken the first day & I live on 1 & half acreage And I built my new chicken pens Did have another one but it was too small so I made it bigger and got more chickens this year and last year I started breeding chickens feed all my chickens lay mash it is the best chicken feed your eggs are better if you feed them Lay Mash that if you let your Chicken out and then your eggs will get better too that what I do I get about 5 Eggs a day when i let my Chicken out i let them out around 4:00pm because if you let them out like at 8:00 e.g there will lay all over your yard.when you have baby Chicks you got to give them Chick starter for about 2 weeks and then start to give them the Chicken Food what your rest of the Chicken Had And when you start Getting Baby Chicks most of them will be Males before you put the eggs down put the hen in a difference Chicken House for a Few Months and there hatch keep them with the mother because the other Chickens will attack them don't put Roosters together. if you have more then 18 Hens and want the Eggs fertilised you will have to have another rooster but you will need another Chicken Pen with a Chicken house but you cant put them together because they do fight over the Female Hens.I Breed White Silkie Bantams and Pont of Lay Hens.
