WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK ?

THIS IS A LETTER TO MY ONLY SON WHOM I DEARLY LOVE. MY SON SPENT A TOUR OF DUTY IN IRAQ. LIKE MOST SOLDIERS COMING BACK FROM A WAR ZONE. MY SON WAS A LIITLE OUT OF STEP WITH LIFE. HE IS A GREAT YOUNG MAN. HE ALWAYS HAD A GREAT BIG HEART FULL OF LOVE. AND I WANTED TO HELP HIM GET IT BACK INTO HIS LIFE. AFTER MUCH PRAYING I GOT THE IDEA FOR THIS SECOND BOOK. I WOULD PUBLISH A LETTER TO MY SON. MY SON WHOM I DEARLY LOVE. I WOULD TELL HIM ALL THE THINGS I WANTED HIM TO KNOW FROM ME HIS DAD. I WOULD ENCOURAGE HIM TOWARDS JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. I WANTED HIM TO KNOW HOW MUCH WE ALL LOVE HIM. THAT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. IT TOOK HIM ALMOST THREE YEARS TO SETTLE DOWN FROM IRAQ.

WITH CHRIST ALL HAS TURNED OUT WELL. THIS BOOK HAS HELPED MY SON AND MANY OTHERS. THIS IS A GREAT BOOK TO GIVE AS A GIFT FOR ANY YOUNG ADULT LOOKING FOR INSPIRATION OR DIRECTION. OR ANY BELIEVING CHRISTIAN WISHING TO BE ONCE AGAIN INSPIRED. THIS IS A LETTER TO INSPIRE MANY SOULS.

AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY
David A. Simonson and his wife Nancy, currently live on the beautiful Oregon coast.  Having traveled throughout most of the western United States.  Simply enjoying God's outdoors.  Searching for God's supreme wisdom in their daily lives.  Living hourly in God's love, companionship and peace.  Simply living and simple living, they continue to search out their next adventure.

BOOK PREFACE
A letter for my son, or if one chooses, for many sons. Take hold  of your full life, my son.  I wish to inspire you onto greatness.  My wish is to put desires into your heart.  My goal is to point you into God's direction.  Only God knows the real you.  Only God knows how to get you to this destination.  Only God knows, only God knows.  Son, I have done "with God" some amazing things in my life.  I do not wish for you to do as well as me.  I fully wish for you to do better than I.  Surpassing my achievements.  Finding your own way.  This I would take as a high compliment.  My son, you can and must do it.  Yes, it can be done, so you must give pursuit.
Your success will be at the level of your daily actions.  Your success will go no higher than your daily right decisions.  You will achieve no greater, than your hourly relationship with God.  Your yielding unto the supreme everlasting wisdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Your life will go no faster than when you humbly cling to the cross.
You must give pursuit.  And for sure, you will give full pursuit unto something.  What that something is, will fully be what you own.  What you pursue will determine your eternity.  My son, do  not take the wide road.  If you pursue the things of this world, then that is exactly what you will receive:  wood, stubble, hay, rock, and temporary at its best.  Soon moth and rust will destroy.
My son, my son, pursue greatness.  Seek God's face in every decision that you "will" make.  Seek to soar with the eagles.  Do not be caged like the chickens.  Eagerly run to God's gifts.  Quickly learn to accept all that God is trying to pour into you.  God made you from his love.  Only God can properly fill you up.  Share all that God gives into you.  Let your God given light shine bright.  Share it with all those around you.
Daily, when you arise, make it your goal to first seek out God.  God will give you all else that you will ever need for abundannt living.  Do not become discouraged.  Stay continually in a positive can-do frame of mind.  Never forget "with God all things are possible".  Never forget "God loves you deeply".
I pray that this letter, I am writing you, will truly inspire you on.  I pray that you will allow God's Holy Spirit to rise up inside of yourself.
Son, never forget kindness, compassion, love, humility, and a positive attitude.  Keep always with you, wisdom, knowledge, a giving nature and joy.  See all your God given days.  Then go and live all your God given hours.
I will remind you of something that you once said to me, "May your fire burn bright and may your fire burn long."
My son, whom I wholeheartedly love, I pray the same for you.  Son, you truly bring me joy.
