Who is this David Batchelor person?

My name is David Batchelor and the beautiful lady standing beside me is my wife, Suseela.        

We live in an Island paradise, called New Zealand. New Zealand is about 1,250 mi (2,012 km) southeast of Australia, consists of two main islands and a number of smaller outlying islands so scattered that they range from the tropical to the Antarctic. The country is the size of Colorado. New Zealand's two main components are the North Island and the South Island, separated by Cook Strait.

My hometown is Wellington (the capital). Though we currently live in a little village called Ashhurst, which is about two hours drive from Wellington.

Growing up

I grew up in several different parts of New Zealand. I did not have the best of times growing up though.  When it came to school I did not have an abundance of friends and seemed like I ended up with more enemies and people who really just did not like me for whatever reason.  When I reached my teens I turned to the wrong crowd which became just more problematic. I made one bad decision after another.  I left high school at the age of 15, so that I could start working and make money.  I never saw the point in education back then. I only went to school because I had to.

In my mid 20's, I got the travel bug and started travelling. I love travelling and it's one of my passions. So far I have travelled to Singapore, China, Philippines, Taiwan, Mexico, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia, England, Egypt, Jordon, Syria, Israel, Japan, Malaysia and the U.S.A. I spent a year discovering the U.S.A. I was also involved with planting a church there.

I met my wife Suseela in Malaysia, when I was in Asia doing missionary work. Suseela is Malaysian/Indian.

Business and work

I was always interested in business, numbers, and making money.

I started getting my education from the book stores, seminars, and audio tapes that I bought. During the year 2000 was when I started to really think about making money with a work at home business. I was trying to find a way to fund my missionary journeys. I messed around with paid to read emails and paid to surf programs. I guess it was my first $20.00 cheque that got me excited. I knew at that point that you really can make money at these work at home things and moved on to find a profitable home based business.

For the next couple of years, I got mixed up with (HYIPS) High Yield Investment Programs and Offshore Investment clubs.

Robert Kiyosaki

One of my mentors, Robert Kiyosaki said, "Rich people don't work for money, they work to learn". He also said that if you have to get a job, then get a sales job because if you want to be an entrepreneur you have to learn how to sell.

So I then got a job as a telemarketer, and also started doing door to door sales. I am proud to say I am very good on the phone. I can do very well knocking on people's doors and making cold calls.

Well now in the year 2003 I decided to get serious about exploring the industry of Network Marketing.

If you have been burned by Network Marketing/MLM, join the club, so have I. So many people have been burned because of all the hype, smoke and mirrors. There are a lot of dishonest people out there and more so as a result of the Internet. In December 2004 I was introduced to 'Consumer Direct Marketing' I did quite well by reaching the position of Senior Director. An active Senior Director earns $6,000+ per month part-time, a couple of free luxury trips overseas and a new car. The problem was, as soon as I stopped working the income pretty much stopped as well. I was led to believe it was passive/residual on-going income, which actually wasn't the case at all. You will discover that is how it is with over 95% of Network Marketing companies.

Learning from my mistakes

I then started to learn more from my mistakes and why so many people (95%) never succeed in MLM programs, no matter how hard they work and try to make it happen. What I started to notice was that those who were doing well had their own websites and opt-in lists.

I now currently have many business mentors and teachers that are helping me succeed with a profitable business and I am always seeking new ones. Let me share with you a few of my mentors who have helped me the greatest when it comes to having a successful home business.

My first mentor was Zig Ziglar. He taught me my philosophy and what I base my business on "You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want".

My next mentor was Robert Kiyosaki, the author of the Cashflow Quadrant. If you have not yet read the book I highly recommend you do.  This book was my starting point in learning financial education, something that just is not taught in the school system.  Not only did Robert teach me the importance of financial intelligence, he also taught me how important it is to have a business system when building a profitable home based business. That is one of the first things that I help my team with, having systems in place that will allow them to leverage their time and reach their goals much quicker.

I was then introduced to Mike Dilliard, who taught me why traditional MLM/Network Marketing doesn't work for 95% of people and why the new Attraction Marketing model does work for those same 95% of people. The Attraction Marketing model that I teach allows people to create a full time income utilising the internet in as little as 12 - 18 months on a very part-time basis!

It is important to have a balanced lifestyle between business and your personal life. I don't believe in being financially free and not having the time to enjoy it. Kingdom priorities mean everything to me.

My mission is help my business partners combine a life of abundance and prosperity in both their personal and financial life, enabling them to live the lifestyle they desire.
