Fun Facts His band "Switchfoot" is named after a surfing move. Foreman's brother, Tim, is also in the band (which they formed in 1996 with drummer Chad Butler.) He dropped out of UC San Diego to pursue his singing career. He is a committed Christian. He contributed to the book The Art of Being and New Way to Be Human. He has also appeared on Relient K's album Five Score and Seven Years Ago singing in the song "Deathbed." He was awarded the "Les Paul Horizon Award" in 2001 for the most promising up-and-coming guitarist at the annual Orville H. Gibson Guitar Awards in Los Angeles.
