Dave Gwyther

I was born  in Bristol, England on December 16th 1983. I lived in the nearby town of Nailsea until I was 7 when I moved to Exmouth in Devon. Here I spent the rest of my youth and when I was 18 I went to Swaziland in Africa to be a teacher. After 6 months of teaching in urban and rural schools I set out to cross the lenght of Africa from where I was in the south to Egypt in the north. My quest was to see the pyramids. After 4 months of what was relatively easy travel (except for Ethiopia) I reached them.

I returned to England and went to The University of Northampton to study Third World Development and Philosophy. I spent one summer travelling around South East Asia and another teaching in India. I graduated in 2006 and spent a long time looking for a job. Eventially I got a job in a bar and then shortly afterwards I got a job working for the Rural Payments Agency. Not satisfied with typing numbers into a computer for a living I applied to be an English teacher in South Korea, and that's where I am today.
