And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy... (Acts 2:17)
A WARNING: You women who are abandoning your babies and going out to try and make money or whatever else might motivate a mother to abandon her young, God is not mocked. What you are sewing right now, the same you will reap. There may come a day when you will need and desire your child's tender, loving care and instead you may find yourself rotting away in an institution. Remember then, how you forced institutionalization upon your little one(s) when all they wanted was YOU. YOU are all they have. If a mother hardening her heart and rebelling against the natural, God given instinct to stay with her babies, isn't akin to the sin of witchcraft what is? What you are doing is undermining parental respect and authority for us all -for those of us who would rather live in a tent than be separated from our children. When you reap the whirlwind know this, that everytime you hurt your little one by leaving them with strange adults and children, you broke their hearts a little more and that someone prayed that those little hearts would grow a bit more ripe for the good news of Jesus Christ and the desire to be a real mother to their own children one day.
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. (I Cor 11:3-6)
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. (I Tim 2:9-15)
Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man. Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work...I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. For some are already turned aside after Satan.( I Timothy 5:9-10; 14-15)
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. (Titus 1:16-2: 5)
"Likewise ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.(I Peter 3:1-6)
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.(Ephesians 5:33)
And for any and all ladies who are tempted to get caught up in the urge to cater to any man(usually the solo pastor) over and above their "own husbands," to the detriment of their homes and family, look how many verses there are instructing wives to be in obedience, to reverence or consider, etc. their "own" husbands!
