Scoll Down for Updates.....

Dont Miss the Updates

It has been brought to my attention that some of you are missing some of the Headlines.

Dont Forget to scroll down

Springbok says let live to the Frog by putting spring in the league

With the Live and Let Live 'B' Dropping out of the H.D.D.A.  this week, we have managed to find a instant replacement in the form of the "the sprinbok" in south africa road london w12.

The Spingbok are to take over the live and let live 'B' fixtures and compete in the league.

Basically the remaining three players from the Live and Let live have moved to the springbok. But with the side under new management I don't expect the remaining three to turn out much.

Predict the SCORES

Yes there here already. the first two weeks sheets are already on the site available to print off.

So have a look and spread the word....

Euro success, brings new income for the H.D.D.A.

Following the success of the Score prediction competition in the Favourite. I have decided to launch it under the HDDA banner.

The basic idea of the Predict a Score is just that Predict the score. I ran one for Euro 08 from the Favourite and we never really campaigned, but still managed to get 52 entries at £5 a go. the winner was Steve Reeves (a old Fav 'B' Player) The interest started to show almost striaght away and infact had tons trying to enter late.

Now this competiton takes a lot of hard work but if two or three persons were to join the competion panel then it would easy.

Each entry will be £2 unlike the £5 it was for the Euro comp. I will be asking each of the team secretaries to get involved in the passing around of the sheets within the teams and their venues, this way we have a chance of invovling others. I have seen this run by many others in the past and one which i'm close to has over a thousand members. sadly that one is a closed shop. HOWEVER ours will not be.

The idea is to make the weekly sheets available from each of the H.D.D.A.'s venues. With these and many others which have shown interest already, will bring the total venues to well over 40. now if you have only ten persons from each enter you will have over 400 making the weekly prize fund over £800. Plus make each sheet available via the website and the amount of entries is endless.

Where does the H.D.D.A. make any money from this I hear you ask....

Well from every prize fund a small percentage WILL be donated to the H.D.D.A. this percentage has of yet still to be decided but it looks to be around the 5-10% mark. So if 5% of the amount to be collected is £400 then £20 will be donated.

Thats not a lot I hear you cry... Well it isn't, but £20 over 10 weeks is £200 and over 40 weeks is £800 and that is another rung up the ladder for the H.D.D.A.

I am currently designing the sheets for the first 10 weeks of the football season and the games which will used.

Should anyone be interested in helping out or just simply entering or even finding out more about this then contact me.

info@dartsinw6.com and watch this space.............

The Season H.D.D.A. Polo shirts.

The New season polo shirts are now in stock. This season sees the new logo being embroidered instead of screen printed.

Only 24 have been bought in with sizes from small, Med, and Large and some XL's and are available in Midnight Navy and Burgundy. Also this term the Wellington have bought 6 black short sleeve shirts (proper shirts) I can't wait for the Presentation night.

The Live and Let Live 'B' Withdraw

Sadly the the H.D.D.A. have been contacted by the Live and let Live 'B' Sec. Steve Young.
Steve informed the H.D.D.A. that due to illness (mental and physical) some of the side were not able to take part anymore, with this and work commitments of some they are now offically withdrawing from all H.D.D.A. fixtures.

All games played against the Live 'B' will now become null and void and along with the Live 'B' will be removed from the league tables.

We thank Steve for trying to keep the side going as long as possible and hope that a quick return to the H.D.D.A. is made.

Cup week

This week brings us the first round of both Divisions cup cometitions.
In Division One its the George Colis and in the second Division it the DMJ EnterpriZes sportsman Trophy.

The draw for the George Colliss:
Chiswick mem  'A'  v  Favourite 'A'
Royal Oak  v Six Bells
Live and Le Live 'B' v Live and let live 'A'
Hammersmith v The Wellington

The first round draw for DMJ EnterpriZes:

1. Fav 'B' v West London Deaf
2. Seven Stars v Shep Bush Club

The winners of match 1 will be at home in the next round against the winners of match 2. This match and the following matches will played in the NEXT ROUND dates.

Goldsmiths 'A' v Pavillion
Queen Adelaide v Goldsmiths 'B'
Chiswick Society v Chiswick Mem 'B'

Both comps are a knockout competition and the format will be of a ROUND ROBIN format in which each team pick a six-a-side team split in the usual way of two threes and three pairs.
Each pair plays 3 games (all the oppositions pairs) and each three plays 2 games (both the oppositions threes) the first side to 7 are through to the next round. Once 7 legs as been reached by a side, it is up to that side to carry the match on.
The threes are one game 601
The pairs are one game in div 2 501 and best of three in div 1 501
Again it is to be away team first in the odd legs and home on the even legs
The order of games is as follows:

                                                HOME TEAM                         AWAY TEAM
                                                PAIR A                        V         PAIR A
                                                PAIR B                        V         PAIR B
                                                PAIR C                        V         PAIR C
                                                TOP THREE                 V         TOP THREE
                                                PAIR B                        V         PAIR A
                                                PAIR C                        V         PAIR B
                                                PAIR A                        V         PAIR C
                                                BOTTOM THREE          V         BOTTOM THREE
                                                PAIR C                        V         PAIR A
                                                PAIR A                        V         PAIR B
                                                PAIR B                        V         PAIR C
                                                BOTTOM THREE          V         TOP THREE
                                                TOP THREE                 V         BOTTOM THREE

FIXTURE CHANGE

This Thursdays Division One Blind Pairs Round One has had to be switched to the Chiswick Sociaty from the Royal Oak, this is due to a double booking by the Royal Oak.

The H.D.D.A. once again are attracting the Stars

With the season due to start on the 8th May once again the H.D.D.A. have attracted the stars into its mist....

Well to tell the truth its the Seven Stars Public House in North end Road.

Also joining the 7 Stars in Division two and making a welcome return to the H.D.D.A. is the Shepherds Bush Club Where I'm sure B.J. and his merry men will be making a very serious title challenge.

I for one, am very happy indeed very happy with the return of the Shep Bush Club a move which I know they have been trying to make for a couple of sesons now.

Last year we had two teams out of the Queen Adelaide but this year we will only have one the 'B' team as they were known are moving to the Pavillion Public House on Wood Lane.

So this year we find ourselves in a very strong position with 18 teams and one of the best sponsorship deals with have ever had.

So on and behalf of all at the H.D.D.A. we welcome back the Shepherds Bush Club and welcome the Seven Stars into the fold.

 Good Luck to All.

New Honours page

Some of you may already know about the new pages I have been adding after each competition.

The Web Store

I am currently building a web store on DartsinW6, aswell as our very own Merchandise I shall be selling all kinds of darting stuff. This is going to take a bit of time to create but we think it will be worth it and as usual ALL Profits will go to Johhny Barkers yearly New Zealand trip........ Only joking...

Whilst i'm building this I have placed a very small page so that you can see or get the idea of the page....

Its easy to find its called the Web Store.....

The "the Danny Mulvihill Fours" Finals

This week will see the fours finals being played out at the Royal Oak on Thursday evening

The draw is to take place at 8:20pm and the matches will start at 8:30pm sharp...

Ding Dong the bells are going to chime

At the moment we have only a couple of results in from last weeks Brit cup Matches,

The first was the Wellingtons 3-0 result over the Queen Adelaide 'B' but the biggest shock in Brit Cup history has to go to the Six Bells who thumped the Favourite 'A' 3 zip.

I can tell you this, although the Fav were very much under strength (you could call it squad rotation or maybe taking the cup game a little bit lightly) but whatever you say the Six Bells deserved the victory and I think even with a full squad the result i suspect would have been the same.

So maybe the return of the Six Bells this year to division one will result in a different outcome.

I think they will be handing out some whippings of there own instead of being the whipping boys......

If you have any results from the other matches please let me know.....

Britannia Cup

This Thursday sees the last eight battle it out for a place in the Semi Finals of the H.D.D.A. FA cup

The matches  being played this week:

Live and Let Live 'A' v the Chiswick Memorial Club 'A'
Chisiwck Society v The Live and Let Live 'B'
Six Bells v The Favourite 'A'
The Wellington v Queen Adelaide 'B'

Singles Div 2

Congrats go to Adam Cole of the Six Bells who suceeded in defeating the Favourite 'B's Micky Reeves in the final of the Division Two Singles last Thursday night, Pictures are now in the photo gallery page and a full report will follow.... To veiw click here

Well one of the pages are here. If you click on Honours you will see links to our comps.

These pages are more detailed history, i.e. if you just wish to look up the singles history you now can, give it a go and let me know your thoughts...

IMPORTANT MESSAGE From you league secretary

Can any team that did not attend the meeting on Sunday
please send their completed forms to me as soon as possible.
I would like to publish a new contact list for the next Secetaries
meeting on 27th April 2008.

SINGLES 2008

The Singles (Div 1 and 2) are, this year and for many a year (I Hope) to be held at the Chiswick Club Society, Chiswick High road.

Last week I spent the night at the club with the committee of the Chiswick Club Society going over the positioning of the Competition set up.

It is also hoped that both John Edney and Robby Morris are present to do a bit of the calling. And yes this time we have a Microphone.

ALSO and this has not been confirmed but........ DARTSHOME.COM are hoping to turn up and do a bit of filming. After speaking to Dartshome this week I get the impression that they feel a little bit guilty about not getting the footage from the Threes readily available. But i'm sure they will do a fantastic job.

Division one singles will take place this Thursday 3rd April and the Division two singles will follow the week after on the 10th april.
Both draws shall be done on the night and Both will take place at 8:15pm so be advised.

The Competition will be played out on each night and will be played on Four of the 8 Competition set up boards, one of which shall be on stage.

H.D.D.A. Sponsorship

Finally I can officially let the Cat out of the Bag...

As from the summer season 2008 joining our ever increasing team of sponsors will be....

Yes folks "coors" brewery, in association with the Chiswick club Society have managed to put together a fantastic sponsorship deal.
There sign shall appear on the website from the begining of the Summer season.

They will joining our current main sponsor "Knights Newagents" of Devonshire road Chiswick. the final details of the deal are yet to be sorted out but I can tell you that it is good... I must state that without the help of Eddie and Ralph at the chiswick club, without their help this would not have been possible.

The Deal does mean that the Chiswick club society will now become the new base of the H.D.D.A. competitions. Apart from those which are currently sponsored. ( the threes - Live & let live and the Danny Mulvilhill Fours - Royal Oak)

So, we are nearly there... our ambition was set some years back that we would and could offer FREE darts, and we are very very close

If you know someone or even if you are interested in sponsoring somepart of the H.D.D.A. then feel free to contact us via e-mail : info@dartsinw6.com

I also have been informed that the Summer season is to see an increase in teams once more. Take this on board, with the strong rumors that the Norman  along with one other team from Fulham making a debut to the H.D.D.A. our totals are looking at 18+.
