Shaykh 'Ubayd Al-Jaabiree ---- Testing the people

whoever shows respect for the scholars, speaks well of them, and displays love for them

This is based on what has been narrated from the Salaf, that they used to say, "Test the people of al-Madeenah by (asking them about) Maalik.

And test the people of Egypt by (asking them about) al-Layth ibn Sa'd.

And test the people of Shaam by (asking them about) al-Awzaa'ee. And test the people of Mawsil by (asking them about) Mu'aafaa ibn 'Imraan."

What is intended is that these people's affairs will become clear when their positions on the scholars are made known. So whoever shows respect for the scholars, speaks well of them, and displays love for them, then he deserves to be drawn close and honored. And if he speaks ill of them, talks against them, and degrades them, then he is to be repelled.

1. An organization hiding under the cloak of Salafiyyah to the outer World. May Allaah guide them or expose

them. Hizbee in their Methodology and Jaahils in Aqeedah.

2. Refrain from ordering the Good and Forbiding the Evil and accuse those who are doing so..

3. Engineer & businessmen who hire Moulavis and carrying out Dawah (classes) activities.

4. They are together with another Hizbee organization named Dar as Salafiyyah ( Negambo - Sri Lanka )

‘ Abdullah ibn Mas’ood said “The people will continue to be upon good so long as they take knowledge from their Akaabir [Elders], but if they take itfrom their Asaaghir[Young] they will be destroyed. Encouraging the laymen to mix with the innovators in their gatherings

Above link (6) is the voice of Dr.Nubar as he encourages the laymen to mix with innovators' gatherings even when the questioner says that he is unable to answer them and he insists that their gatherings should be followed up as a Methodology of Dawah. This is totally opposite to what Sheikh Rabee has advised not to mix with the innovators in Dawah as this is the Methodology of the Salafus Saalih.
