Local Music Video

Every band that has made it even the slightest bit up the ladder to being big has a music video, but those aren't the only bands worthy of it. Sometimes, small local bands are just as good as the big ones, but appear so to a smaller audience. Several times when I have gone to local shows, and heard simply fantastic music, I've wondered why I cant see some awesome music video for this. The answer however never takes too long to realize. Making a music video is no small task. It has to be planned, scripted, usually fit to a song, the artists need to be able to lip sync to their own music, and thats only to mention the tasks that come to mind. One local band however has decided to do it anyways.
Francine, a band from Thompson Connecticut that plays a high volume of their shows in Massachusetts is going to have their first music video out hopefully anytime now. It features their newest song "The Grande Auction" which can be heard on their myspace or purevolume.

Dropping
Daylight
in
Connecticut
Dropping Daylight is supporting Breaking Benjamin next Tuesday, July 25th in Hartford, CT. Evans Blue is also playing this important show. Dropping Daylight is grateful to be on tour with Breaking Benjamin and shows of this magnitude are very important for the guys. Come out and show your support! Join the Dropping Daylight Street Team and sign up to promote the show! If you prove you've been promoting the show (by filing promotional reports on the site) you will be able to hang out with Dropping Daylight before their set and watch their soundcheck before the show starts. This kind of a contest
doesn't happen often, and probably won't come around again, so I suggest going for it. I know I am! If you take the initiative to sign up, you can also come with me and Bill to the show. We're probably taking a Greyhound Bus there, so it'll be a nice adventure. Come and join us! The Dropping Daylight guys are really excellent people, and what could be more fun than meeting the band, promoting the show before its start, and then enjoying music from their new album "Brace Yourself"?
