Story Time With Luigi

Super Mario Bros.

Once upon a time, the peaceful Mushroom Kingdom was invaded by the Koopa, a tribe of turtles infamous for their dark magic. These terrible terrapins transformed the peaceloving Mushroom People into stones, bricks, and, ironically, mushrooms, then set their own evil king on the throne. In the wake of the ghastly coup d'etat, the scenic Mushroom Kingdom fell into ruin and despair.

It is said that only the daughter of the Mushroom King, Princess Toadstool, can break the evil spell and return the inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom to their normal selves. But Bower, the King of the Koopas, knew of this prophecy and kidnapped the lovely princess, hiding her away in one of his mighty castles.

Word of the terrible plight of the Mushroom People quickly spread throughout the land, eventually reaching the ears of a humble plumber. The simple yet valiant Mario vowed to rescue the princess and free her subjects from Bowser's tyrannous reign. But can Mario overcome the daunting obstacles facing him and become a true hero?

Super Mario Bros. 2

Mario is asleep in a dreamy sleep. He dreams walking up a long flight of stairs. He opens the door at the top and fall through.

Super Mario Bros. 3

The Mushroom Kingdom has remained a peaceful place, thanks to the brave deeds of Mario and Luigi. However, the Mushroom Kingdom forms an entrance to the Mushroom World, a place where all is not well. Bowser sent his seven children to make mischief in this normally peaceful land. As their first order of business, they stole the royal magic wands from each country in the Mushroom World and used them to turn the kings into animals. Mario and Luigi must recover the royal magic wands from Bowser's seven kids to return the kings to their true forms. As Mario and Luigi set off on their journey deep into the Mushroom World, Princess Peach and Toad have but one thing to say: "Good-bye, and good luck!"

Super Mario World

Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach have traveled to Yoshi’s Island in Dinosaur
Land for a well-deserved vacation.
Shortly after arriving, however, Princess Toadstool disappears! Mario and
Luigi search desperately for her, but to no avail. Finally, at the edge of the
island, they come across a mysterious egg. While they’re taking a good, long
look at the egg, it suddenly hatches and out pops a little dinosaur named
Yoshi, who tells Mario and Luigi a sad tale.

“A group of turtles appeared here in Dinosaur Land and used magic to trap my
friends inside eggs. Those turtles are really tough-they even trapped me when
I came to help out my pals. Will you help me free my friends?”

Monstrous turtles? Surely, this is the work of Bowser, king of the Koopas. He
and his henchmen must be behind Peach’s disappearance, too! Now the Mario
brothers must team up with Yoshi to free the Princess and the other dinosaurs
and start on a whole new adventure.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

Kamek, evil magikoopa and caretaker of the new-born Bowser (successor to the
throne), had heard of news from afar. A pair of twins had been born... but
these were no ordinary twins. Kamek foresaw a grave future if he did not
dispose of them (or at least keep them locked up tight... the story must be
suitable for all ages, ya know), and they could cause great trouble for Bowser.

We all know these twins as Mario and Luigi, plumbers extroadinaire. We also
know that they've defeated Bowser countless times, so Kamek is pretty smart.

Anyways, the twins were just being delivered by the stork (hmmm... perhaps this
story is a little TOO suitable for all ages) as he flew across the night sky.
Kamek knew this was his only chance. He hopped on his broom, and zoomed out of
the castle. He had to do it quickly... and quickly he did. A bit too quickly.
As he raced by, he snatched up one of the babies, but didn't get a firm grip on
the other. He dropped it, and it plummeted down to the sea below. Kamek did not
realize this right away.

The baby (Mario), luckily was falling not towards the ocean but Yoshi's Island,
home to all the Yoshi's. Even luckier, the fall was cushioned by a soft Yoshi
back. Yoshi, who was taking a walk, was surprised to see the baby, and didn't
know what to do with it. He decided to take it back to his friends. The other
Yoshies weren't too sure what to do either, but baby Mario seemed to know. He
wanted to get his twin (Luigi) back from Kamek's clutches and arrive at his
home safely. A special bond (and a map) allowed Mario to know where to go. The
Yoshies decided to pitch in and help take Mario on his adventure - or should we
say, the Yoshies' adventure.

Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga

So, one day, in peaceful Mushroom Kingdom, a goodwill ambassador comes in to
give something to Princess Peach. That gift is...gas. It takes Princess
Peach's voice and everyone around her starts to freak out. It turns out that
this was not an ambassador, it was the evil witch, Cackletta! She steals her
voice. Whenever Peach speaks, all that happens are bombs that drop right out
of speech bubbles attack you! Mario hears about this and plans to stop the
evil witch! Somehow though, Luigi and Bowser(That's right, Bowser) tags along
and some strange events start happening. Why would Cackletta want Peach's
voice? Mario tries to find out following Cackletta all throughout Beanbean
Kingdom.

Super Mario Land

Uh oh! Princess Daisy of Sarasaland has been kidnapped by the evil Tatanga!
Super Mario must travel through the four kingdoms of Sarasaland in order to
stop Tatanga's evil plans and save Princess Daisy before she is wed to
Tatanga. If they are married, he will be able to take over the world! Stop him!

Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins

"While I was away crusading against the mystery alien Tatanga in Sarasa
Land, an evil creep took over my castle and put the people of Mario Land
under his control with a magic spell. This intruder goes by the name of
Wario. He has been jealous of my popularity ever since we were boys, and
has tried to steal my castle many times. It seems he has succeeded this
time. Wario has scattered the 6 Golden Coins from my castle all over
Mario Land. These Golden Coins are guarded by those under Wario's spell.
Without these coins, we can't get into the castle to deal with Wario. We
must collect the 6 coins, attack Wario in the castle, and save
everybody!"

Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land

Remember Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins? Wario tried to take over
Mario's castle, but didn't have much luck. Wario, being the persistent guy
he is, has not given up. Now, he wants a castle more than ever before.

One day, Wario was practicing being mean when he thought to himself, "Rumor
has it that the pirates of Kitchen Island have stolen the giant golden statue
of Princess Toadstool. Mario is looking for it but, if I find it first, I
could cash it in for a princess' ransom. With that cash and the pirates'
other treasures and coins, I could buy a palace that is way bigger than
Mario's pathetic excuse for a castle. Ga, ha, ha, ha...! What am I waiting
for!?"

Full of confidence, Wario took off. He didn't even stop to think of how
tough the Brown Sugar Pirates were. Their leader, Captain Syrup was known
the world over for being a really rotten and ruthless guy.

Can Wario find the coins and treasures hidden on Kitchen Island? What will
his new palace look like? Will he keep being so mean and ugly? Let's find
out!

Dr. Mario

MY NAME IS DR. MARIO. How's it going? Over the past few years, I've been
involved in some pretty wild adventures. Now, believe it or not, I work in the
virus research lab at Mushroom Kingdom Hospital. Today I'm about to begin my
research as usual.

"Dr Mario something has happened!"
"What's wrong, nurse Toadstool?"
"One of the experiments has gone
out of control. The viruses are
spreading quickly"
"Oh No! We've got to do something!.
I have just developed a new vitamin
that should be able to take care
of it. I sure hope this works!"

Donkey Kong

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong

It looks like Donkey Kong is up to his old tricks again!

Over in the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario has become so famous that he's started his own toy company. His new Mini-Mario action figures are all the rage, and this cute li'l wind-up toy is just flying off the shelves.

In fact, these toys are so popular that stores can't even keep them in stock. Donkey Kong just loves these new toys, but when he showed up at the store, they were all gone!

Donkey Kong's not famous for his patience, and he wasn't about to wait for the next shipment, so he just went straight to the factory and started grabing all the new Mini-Marios for himself. Mario arrived just in time to see Donkey Kong run off with all his inventory!

Now it's up to you to help Mario recover his stolen trinkets and give Donkey Kong a good talking-to for not pre-ordering!
