Ville Hermanni Valo

Ville sings in H.I.M and was born in Helsinki, Finland on the 22/11/1976. Child to Kari and Anita Valo who had one other child by the name of Jesse Ville’s previous bands were, Blood 1986 to 1989, Elovena Boys 1987 to 1988, Kemoterrapia 1989 to 1997 and the Donits-Osmo Experience Ville idolizes, Gene Simmons, Edgar Allen Poe, Rauli Somerjoki, and Iggy Pop. And also is a big fan of Type O Negative, the 69 Eyes, and Black Sabbath. In Ville’s very early live he lived with his mother and father Vanilla and this was were his musical beginnings were. Ville cried a lot as a baby so his father played Paratiisi by Rauli Badding Somerjoki and his mother would dance with him, this would stop Ville’s crying. From there they moved on to Olunkyla were they stayed until Ville was about 17. In school Ville was VERY! energetic and the teachers had trouble keeping him under control, one way around this they found was to let him draw pictures in class this seemed to keep Ville calm and out of trouble *and out of the teachers way*. Ville LOVED math, he became very interested in it but after getting a hard time at school he lost interest so he attended an evening school.

The first album Ville bought was Animalize by kiss, his star sign is Scorpio, Ville’s favorite movie is Nightmare Before Christmas.



Makko Viliaki Lindstrom
A.K.A Linde

Linde plays the guitar (Gibson SG Guitar/Les Paul) in H.I.M and also goes by Daniel Lioneye and, Lilly Lazer. Linde was born in Helsinki, Finland in 12/08/1976 in Klaukkala, Nurmijarva. He has one brother by the name of Jude. Linde also played guitar in Aurora, Blood 1986 to 1989, Kemoterapia 1989-????, and currently plays lead guitar and sings in Daniel Lioneye. Linde's father was a big fan of Evils and this has put a definite mark on how Linde plays the guitar. He got his first guitar at age 10 for Christmas and learned to play Heavens on Fire by Kiss. Linde meet Ville at age 13 while attending the same school. Linde dropped out of school 2 years before Ville and when Ville finished school they started to play in HIM seriously. Linde started smoking at a very young age, 7 to be exact and his early band Aurora (Ville playing drums), quite often made a disturbance of themselves one such incident the singer being VERY drunk fell onto the lighting equipment and then onto the drums breaking them, the songs they sang were also quite offensive. The band were going to hold a party at the school until the principal had a little out break and said "you can’t have parties, you’ll only smoke joints". Needless to say the band was not happy with this and decided to plot revenge the called this plot Martti Ilvonen Tunkee Kyrpaa Suoleeen (roughly translated meaning Martti Ilvonen put his dick in asshole), the plan was also the name of the song they sang at the school where pupils and staff found it to be very amusing. The then began to raise money for the band by selling donuts. Linde and his partner Manna had a daughter in 2003 calling her Olivia. Random Facts Linde's favorite film is called 'From Dusk till dawn, he is into mediation and idolizes Steve Vai, and Iggy Pop.

Mikko Heinrik Julius Paananen

A.K.A Mige

Mige was born on the 19/12/1974 in Helsinki Finland, Mige lived in Olunkyla until the age of 13 when his parents divorced, this was the same place were Linde lived as a child.
Mige's father played in the Helsinki orchestra, he played then oboe, Mige's mother was an actress.
When Mige's parents divorced Mige went with his mother to Tuusula, which was about 30 km away from Helsinki.
Mige's family were heavily into there music but Mige followed his brother into hip hop.
Mige has a lovely taste in humor mainly consisting most of it having references to body fluid.
Mige is also a very keen photographer his photography was the influence for the title of the HIM cd 'Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights', Mige also did the photography for the Daniel Lioneye cd.
